Dear All
The end is near!
Not the world but possibly Labour MP Anne Moffat’s career in East Lothian.
The carpetbagger is in real danger of being deselected.
She won’t be missed as East Lothian’s general committee voted 25 to 5, to allow the local party to select another candidate.
Apparently Anne Moffat had lost its confidence.
Her fate lies in the hands of the Labour ruling National Executive Committee (NEC).
So, it is a coin flip, with the General Election so close, replacing Moffat could create more problems than it solves.
In a ‘I don’t want anything to do with it, it wasn’t me’ attitude, the NEC have decided to ballot its own members on whether or not to refer the matter back to the local party in Scotland.
If they vote yes, then it is ‘hang em high’ time for Moffat.
I guess it is time for Prestonpans Labour Club to get out the bedsheets with the holes cut out for the eyes, the burning crosses and the rope.
Strictly speaking, its Moffat’s own fault, she was the carpetbagger brought in to represent the yokels.
The yokels have risen against her.
Yours sincerely
