Flogging a dead horse even before it is born, Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser thinks a Federal UK can solve ‘constitutional stalemate’, it won’t, Scottish people got rid of many Unionist politicians because they were lazy, inept and useless, and they will keep doing so using the SNP as a vehicle to voice their discontent until better people get selected as candidates

Dear All

One of the ideas which has been floated to ‘solve’ the constitutional problem in the UK is a move to a Federal system.

Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser has been running with this idea for some time, and although, it is interesting, it won’t work.

The Scottish National Party will take any Westminster powers that they can get from the UK Parliament, like a squirrel hoarding nuts, but they won’t use them.

Federalism wouldn’t have stopped people deserting the Unionist parties at the Westminster 2015 election in Scotland and if anyone thought it would have, they are losing the plot.

The collapse of support didn’t just happen overnight, it was set in motion decades ago, it was a sea change because people were fed up not getting their voices heard but also getting their requests for help ignored or turned down.

During the Westminster 2015 election campaign, former leader and MP Jim Murphy boldly said that he had ‘fixed’ the Scottish Labour Party. That was a pretty bold statement but it was also wrong, the Labour campaign was really awful.

Remember my article of Feb 2015?

It was plain to see the writing on the wall, so far out,
who starts an election campaign wittering on about getting a drink at a football?

And who really gives a shit in the grand scheme of things?

As I wrote in the article:

“Deliver policies of significant meaning to win back Labour voters, big ideas, real change and real commitment”.

Murdo Fraser doesn’t get it, it isn’t federalism or indeed any other kind of ‘ism’ that Scots needed or wanted; it was people who would fix their problems. People aren’t pro SNP, the vote is still fluid, people wanted rid of the current crop of Scottish politicians.

Now, it appears that no one wants to help them, as the old saying goes, what goes around, comes around.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Conservatives said:

“The UK Constitution is evolving and under this Conservative government we are now witnessing further change – with the biggest transfer of powers to the Scottish parliament since devolution, and more powers devolved to England’s regions.”

Or you could offer another opinion and call it benign neglect, just shunning problems further down the line which eventually someone else will have to deal with and fix.

Murdo Fraser said:

“We could move to a situation, fairly quickly, of a network of strong city regions with devolved administrative powers. These would be areas of administrative devolution, not legislative. That would leave a de facto English parliament, sitting within the House of Commons at certain times, or at certain times of the week, following the implementation of EVEL. Whether there would then need to be an English executive in some form is another matter which would have to be considered: and, if so, whether an English First Minister would be required, or whether that job could simultaneously be held by the UK Prime Minister. This would not be pure federalism in any sense, more likely ‘quasi-federalism’.”

Have a read of this from the London School of Economics.

Short version, it isn’t going to work, it isn’t going to be tolerated in Europe.

Murdo Fraser can punt federalism till the cows come home, it solves nothing, it isn’t even on the radar of the Scottish people, it has no interest, there is no groundswell and there are other problems which affect people which come first.

No one is sitting around pining for federalism because it changes nothing, power shifts which don’t benefit people are part of the reason why nearly every Unionist politician was throw out on the street at the General Election.

It isn’t that people want the SNP in power, they want to get rid of useless politicians and the SNP is a vehicle to do this until such time as either the Unionist parties get better leadership and candidates or there is a new centre right party in Scotland.

Murdo is flogging a dead horse!

Yours sincerely

Open Letter to Conan, you seem to barking up the wrong tree regarding independence, the SNP aren’t standing up for the working class, they don’t stand for fairness, equality and social justice, they created middle class welfare-ism to rob the poor, and you are backing them

Dear Conan

Having read your snippets, I think I should respond to you in an open letter.

In 2008, I volunteered to assist the SNP in the Glasgow East campaign, the winning margin was 365, I put a lot of effort into that campaign and was noticed.

I was a member of the public.

What got me motivated to take part?

Former Labour MP Margaret Curran.

What did she do, she lied about living and working in the East End all of her life.

Although politicians can sometimes flower up the truth, this was well beyond that, and although I was an SNP voter, this seemed to me to be unfair.

When I was campaigning, I was an ardent supporter, everyone knows this, but the SNP I thought I joined doesn’t exist.

The SNP isn’t a left wing party; it isn’t a party of social justice, equality or fairness.

If you don’t know that, consider yourself informed and educated.

I have some questions for you.

“From an ardent SNP supporter to someone who seems to hate the idea of independence is what I mean George”.

Why were there no plans for independence done by the SNP?

Why did Alex Salmond lie to the people?

Why did Nicola Sturgeon lie to the people?

Why did both these individuals not stop abuse of opposition politicians?

Are you as an ardent Nationalist proud that Lib Dem Charles Kennedy was hounded to death by a Nationalist abuse campaign?

Why don’t you care that people in Scotland were put in danger?

“It's as if Scottish Independence, once espoused by you, is now anathema, because you fell out with the people who run the main party who support it. Am I correct?”

“You fell out”, oh right, it was “my fault”, it was a “trivial matter”, is this the watered down version to explain the hate campaign run against me in the SNP?

Is the SNP breaking the law re my DSAR acceptable?

When Peter Murrell, the Chief Executive decided to do a cover up of my complaints of abuse was he doing a ‘yours for Scotland’ SNP social justice policy?

“The idea of Scottish independence is what I treasure. You seem to have thrown out the baby with the bath water”.

If the SNP cannot be trusted to uphold the law and treat their members fairly, what makes you think they would do so to ordinary members of the public?

“You either believed in independence or wanted a political post with the SNP. Which?”

I did 17 campaigns for the SNP, during those 17 campaigns I never put myself forward as a possible candidate, this rather shows the ‘he joined to be a politician’ claim as bogus.

Incidentally, Tommy Ball, connected to Nicola Sturgeon is currently using this argument at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

I left the SNP for two reasons:

1/ The SNP broke the law regarding my legal rights.
2/ The SNP did a cover up of my complaints.

I used to be Glasgow SNP’s top activist; year in year out, this was despite being treated like a cunt because I thought the cause was more important.

Here is a story, I always remember, on one occasion I was abandoned in the street after an SNP event as Allison Hunter, the SNP MP Chris Stephens and the organiser Richard Bache all jumped into her car and sped off down the road I had to walk back. There was an empty seat in the vehicle, and they were going back towards where I lived.

Tell me about SNP loyalty.

What this story highlights is the real face of the SNP, not the pretend one they cultivate to the cameras.

After I walked out on the SNP, I didn't as others did jump straight into bed with another political party, this again shows that I didn’t as others claim ‘just want to be a party politician, instead I offered my services to someone else. When they declined my offer, I decided to stand as an independent candidate. During that time, the Nationalists and Tommy Ball decided to run hate campaigns against me.

I came 7th and the SNP failed to win the seat cause by the death of Allison Hunter, a Sturgeon crony, and a horrible vile individual. Hunter during the 2010 General Election took to swearing at me in public in front of SNP activists because I made a joke about how much work I did for the party.

Another point about that episode is that I hadn’t been assigned any work by the SNP Group I was attached to, and I wasn’t in her Group either.

Allison Hunter was a horrible little vile individual.

You highlight Ms Black's maiden speech which went viral on Youtube. I have watched it, it isn’t very good. It is rather ordinary, it doesn’t offer solutions and is information which for the most part the general public has all heard before.

Incidentally, the SNP haven’t close the gap between rich and poor, they have increased it, they are a failed government on health, education, law and order, they have created middle class welfare-ism to further trap the poor.

How much evidence do you need that Nicola Sturgeon is fucking over the poor?

And you want independence so the last safeguards are removed from people, perhaps Conan; you need to open your eyes and wise up.

Finally, I have been told several by Unionists how glad they were to have my help during the Scottish independence campaign. In Pollok with about 5 people, I managed to get about 22k votes, the Pollok SNP crowd, my former branch had about 30 to 40 people and they managed to get about 27k votes. For the most part the Pollok Labour Party were MIA, not one single Labour MP, MSP or Cllr turned up to work with the BT Group I was in.

You are supporting the wrong party.

Feral SNP, Nationalists have decided it appears to start a campaign of disrespect in the House of Commons; the traditions of the House of Commons are meaningless to them as they start clapping back in the chamber, toothless Celt tigers, go on Nicola, let them slash the seats on the government benches, might as well go full mental

Dear All

The Scottish National Party are an embarrassment at Westminster, as well as the usual suspects of buffoonery such as Angus Robertson and Pete Wishart, the Nationalist camp has been joined by others who are equally untalented and dim.

Pete Wishart’s comment however provide some amusement value.

In the House of Commons, the convention in the chamber is not to clap, in exceptional circumstances, the House has seen spontaneous clapping take place. The fact the SNP clap themselves is a sign of insecurity, they appear however to know one thing.

No one likes them.

In the House of Commons, there has been an occasion when a speech has been so powerful, that a round of applause can be heard, recently this happened during the wonderful speech by Labour's shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn. His speech was full of passion about why we cannot ignore the threat of Islamic State. The SNP opposed airstrikes, thus by default they supported the killers of innocent men, women and children.

Earlier this year, SNP MPs were rebuked by the Speaker John Bercow for clapping their colleagues' contributions in the chamber, he politely told them to stop adding, ‘they will get their speaking rights from this chair’. But as we all know the real problem is that the dross selected by the SNP doesn’t respect the parliament, doesn’t respect the traditions and doesn’t care about the rules.

That said; the rules should apply equally to everyone.

It seems that the SNP want a run in with the speaker John Bercow, if that is what they want they are heading in the right direction.

SNP MP said:

“It is ridiculous that in a grown up democracy we cannot behave in a professional way. When you attend political meetings ordinary people do not stand around saying ‘hear, hear’. If someone makes a good point you give them a round of applause.”

This isn’t a political meeting; this is the House of Commons.

The issue of applause is nonsense, it is the politics of the student union, where nothing much is done but very loudly, the SNP as I said know that no one likes them, so clapping is like a support group for the dummy who is making a point.

Dr Philippa Whitford, the party’s health spokesman and the MP for Central Ayrshire, has likened the Commons to sitting in a "kindergarten where people are making animal noises”.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/surgeon-exposed-spreading-bogus-claims-4103150

Whitford made headlines for making bogus claims exposing herself as a liar.

The SNP will probably tread the path of stupidity and keep clapping, then the funny side will wear off as they get removed from the chamber, and some will walk out along with the offenders as a show of support.

But the parliament will go on; of course they will use the route of complaining as is their right but what it amounts to is people who are there to make the United Kingdom better but to pick up a pay packet.

After all, we should remember, no matter what the SNP does, it is irrelevant at Westminster, they aren’t changing the world, they aren’t changing the United Kingdom, and they aren’t changing Scotland.

Westminster is a way station for the SNP, a place they are trapped.

Maybe someone should give Nicola Sturgeon some advice, if you are going to keep pets, make sure they behave themselves when out of your sight.

Yours sincerely

Changing face of Europe, Sweden, France, Germany and Holland see waves of violence swept across their countries, arson, violence and intolerance are the weapons on the frontline Europe, people are focused on migrants, soon they will realise that their problems can only be solved by sweeping away the political class who betrayed them in the first place, Europe is moving to the centre right, but that might not be the final destination

Dear All

A short time ago, I was commenting in a change of mood which is happening right across Europe towards the migrant crisis. At first the politicians were all falling over themselves to express how caring they were as individuals.

Then there were the Paris attacks which focused people minds!

Prior to Paris, the problem of migrants was recognised as a crisis which resulted in the biggest exodus of people since the end of the Second World War. Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor created a disastrous policy which many in Europe didn’t wish to accept whether they be politicians or ordinary people.

Let’s look at four countries, Sweden, France, Germany and Holland.

In Sweden, the centre right and the far right are making gains in public support; the backlash has started in Europe. People are saying that enough is enough, and instead of being just vocal, some people are taking matters into their own hands.

Have you ever heard of a place called Tärnsjö?

Tärnsjö is approximately 150km from Stockholm; things have gotten rather bad between locals and migrants who have been fighting each other. Tensions are so bad young migrant children are given a police escort to school. This isn’t just an isolated series of incidents peculiar to this small village, right across Sweden; the attitude towards migrants is also hostile. In a two month period, 17 migrant centres have been burnt down, the problem is widespread, and like a rolling stone, this will pick up speed and escalate. I said previously violence was coming to Europe, it has, and also arson it seems.

Much has been written about the Paris attacks, so many innocent people dead in the heart of the French Capital, it was appalling, an attack of terrorism which changed the minds not just of the ordinary French people but importantly, the State. The French are currently involved in a crackdown in France against Islamic extremists, so far a list of 160 venues where Muslims gather has been drawn up to be closed down. RT, the Russian news agency channel published that three Mosques have been shut by French authorities. If the French experience more Islamic terrorism, the far right in France will make serious inroads into politics.

France has geared up for war.

Not a million miles away from the French capital of Paris, there is the Dutch town of Geldermalsen. Just as things are bad in Sweden and France, things don’t bode well for the Dutch in Holland. Thousands of protesters stormed the site of a planned asylum centre for 1,500 migrants in Holland. Things escalated to such an extent that riot police had to fire shots, the people of Holland are angry, but rather than ignore a few angry people, politicians are faced with the prospect of thousands, and thousands of Dutch people becoming pro active in their protests. When things kicked off, the local town hall was said to resemble a battlefield and the elected politicians were forced to flee for their safety.

The riot in the town of Geldermalsen is the worst riot of its kind in the Netherlands since the refugee crisis began, but it may not be the worst until this crisis is over. 14 people were arrested, several policemen were injured in the riot, although that sounds small, the real number of interest is how many people turned up to protest.

Miranda de Vries, the town Mayoress said she was shocked at the violence caused by an estimated 2,500 people.

2,500 people, and that number will climb, why will it climb?

That is an easy question to answer, politicians aren’t listening to the ordinary people, just as the protestors are anti migrant; they will also be anti ‘the political class’ who ignored them. And again, this will give the far right a chance to exploit the situation. In the long game, the far right will have to put in place people in public office that are competent and effective in their day to day roles as elected politicians. At the Dutch town hall riot, the elected councillors fearing for their safety escaped out the back door into Police vans.

Now, we get to Germany and town of Freital, again, it is a snapshot of what is happening across Europe, 2,200 new arrivals, here as in other places, things aren’t going well, locals fight with migrants in the street. Here the story is that migrants say residents treat them like dirt, locals say migrants have brought trouble. One angry woman threatened to 'burn' the immigration centre down much in the same way that Swedish people have restored to arson.

Germany was wrong to open the floodgates; Angela Merkel in allowing one million migrants already in 2015 has caused tremendous harm. She planted the seeds of hatred, and now she can expect to see the flourish and grow… like wildfire!

In Germany there were reported 500 incidents of racially motivated attacks on migrants from hate mobs in first eight months of year. This is the new front line in Europe, and the battle field is fluid, in some ways it reminds me of the commentary of a German soldier in Stalingrad during WW2, Wilhelm Hoffman. Apparently, the migrants want to move to Berlin, this they think will solve their problem as they expect Berliners to be tolerant, if it can’t be made to work in Freital, it won’t work in Berlin. Some of the migrants want to try for a move to Sweden or even the UK, but as they are registered now, it is doubtful that both these destinations will accept them.

Britain is only taking people from camps, and there is a quota.

Freital, population 39,000 and now home to 2,200 refugees, has become a poster town for the migrant crisis in Germany; resentment from locals regarding migrants has frequently boiled over into violence. Eventually, in such a polarised community, it is only a matter of time before firearms are used and the killings begin, people will only roll about in the dirt before coming to the conclusion that escalation is the way forward. When that happens there will be a huge change has no go areas are setup by default, in effect there will be invisibly marked ghettos created.

Already, people in Germany are getting organised with the small town having its own version of PEGIDA, the far right anti-Muslim, anti-immigration movement. PEGIDA made headlines with a series of demonstrations in places such as Dresden which had about 25,000 people attending. You can view footage of their activities online, the make up of the protestors goes right across the social spectrum, professionals to unskilled, young to old, male and female.

What you are seeing in Europe is change, the next step is the formation of new political parties, because people will in time work out that no matter how many chances you give some types of politicians they will never represent you and always betray you. Across Europe, there is a dawning of a new era as the realisation sinks in that ordinary people they can be the change and the driving force.

So, Sweden, France, Holland and Germany are suffering problems, interestingly a  Bulgarian clairvoyant who died 20 years ago warned of the rise of ISIS by claiming there would be a 'great Muslim war' in 2016, her success rate in predicting events was supposedly as high as 85 per cent. Personally, I don’t put a lot of stock in someone claiming to be a clairvoyant; however, we do seem to be travelling down a path towards possible civil war in Europe.

Although big events like the Paris attacks draw people’s attention, it is the smaller events which will trigger the start of anarchy in Europe, places like Geldermalsen and Freital, the places you never knew existed, but the place where the spark could happen that could ignite a whole nation.

Finally, here is a little tale of intolerance which happened in the fair city of Glasgow, Scotland which I came across on my travels. A homeless ‘Indian’ man turned up at a Christian charity somewhere in the city to get food, apparently he strongly objected a choir singing Christmas carols at an organised event.

He said that he didn’t believe in God, which is his choice, however, he thought his non beliefs should take presence over those who did believe in God.

He also appeared to think that the world should revolve round him, and he ventured that the ‘British’ should get out of India and take their investments of money in the country with them. ‘India for the Indians’, was his take, given he was getting free food, maybe he should learn some manners, as it was, the staff or volunteers asked him to leave the premises.

The general jist of this story is that he appears to be an illegal migrant who has been turned down for leave to remain; hence his unhappiness regarding his present situation. I was told he was staying at a temporary homeless shelter which has been setup somewhere in the East End.

Just as well he isn’t staying in Europe with his attitude.

Yours sincerely

Bitch slapped USA: US Billionaire and Republican front-runner for the US presidential nomination Donald Trump is attacked by SNP MP Alex Salmond as a “three-time loser”, the Trump organization call it right on Alex Salmond, he is a ‘has been’ and ‘irrelevant’, oh how truth hurts as irrelevant Salmond seeks to ‘hog the limelight’, his time is over

Dear All

It is said that if you give a monkey a typewriter then one day it will produce the works of Shakespeare.

Although this is highly unlikely!

US Billionaire Donald Trump is a man on a mission, he wants to be President of the United States, whether he can get the nomination is anyone’s guess, but Trump is being very populist at the moment and garnering support.

One thing which he has said which hits the nail on the head is when he called Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond as a “has-been and totally irrelevant”.

One the surface, you might think, gosh that it is a bit strong until you look back the history between Trump and Salmond.

Alex Salmond is a total irrelevant has been, his day in the Sun has long gone as did any hope of Scottish independence.

Killed off by lies, lies and more lies!

If you think back the incident which I suspect did it for Salmond and Trump was when Salmond’s crew wanted to issue a press release that Donald Trump supported the release of Al Megrahi.

Al Megrahi was convicted of the worst terrorist murders in Scotland; no way could Donald Trump support his release given the nature of the crime. It was bad judgment on the part of the SNP, and afterwards, it became clear that the relationship broke down. The SNP were seen to be petty, backward and stupid towards Trump who was investing in Scotland, bring in money and jobs.

The way he went about it however is another story.

So far we have seen a rather nasty war of words as Salmond and Trump go at it publicly, Salmond is rather stung by the ‘has been’ comment, and so he should, it’s the truth, and the truth hurts and can be painful.

Donald Trump has lost his his latest legal bid to prevent an offshore wind farm being built near his Aberdeenshire golf course, instead of helping his business succeed and thereby protecting jobs, the SNP Government, petty and small minded is in ‘fuck you’ mode.

Could the offshore wind farm be moved?

Yes!

But the real issue for me is beyond the windmills spinning is the fact that business can’t do business with the SNP Government.

Salmond loves to hog the limelight, so this spat is his chance to shine in Trump’s shadow, as we know, Alex Salmond is a has been. Salmond calling the US billionaire and Republican front-runner for the US presidential nomination as a “three-time loser” is just upping the ante.

It is all about Salmond saying me me me to the press!

In grandstanding mode Salmond also attacked Trump for failing to live up to promises on the economic benefits of the Aberdeenshire course.

He said:

“As First Minister, I was cited in Trump’s legal action. Now it is concluded, I am free to speak my mind on the damaging impact of his interventions on the Scottish economy. He has created a fine golf course but it does not even have a permanent clubhouse at present, far less the claims of thousands of jobs and billions of investment.”

The Trump organization quickly retorted:

"Does anyone care what this man thinks? He's a has-been and totally irrelevant. The fact that he doesn't even know what's going on in his own constituency says it all. We have a permanent clubhouse and the business is flourishing. He should go back to doing what he does best - unveiling pompous portraits of himself that pander to his already overinflated ego."

Meow on that one Sir!

So, why doesn’t Alex Salmond know that there is a permanent clubhouse and the business is flourishing?

I would venture the proposition, it is because Alex Salmond is a ‘has been’ who thinks without checking facts, a small man who will one day be seen as not even a poor man’s William Wallace.

How ironic would it be if Trump because President of the United States and then we all watch as Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP crawl on their bellies toadying to him?

In this fight, it is a case of who do you dislike the least.

Yours sincerely

EU referendum: David Cameron vows to get 'good deal for Britain' but Angela Merkel warns free movement and migrant benefits will not change, Cameron took a gamble and now the gamble hasn’t paid off, he should abandon his attempts at renegotiation, he did his best but it’s a busted flush

Dear All

I sued to think that winning the European Referendum would be a slam dunk for those who wish to remain part of the EU.

I am not so sure now.

When David Cameron said he was going to get a better deal as part of his pitch to stay in, I thought he was onto a hiding for nothing. The European Union is in crisis, the migrant crisis has brought this to the fore; however the mechanics of the organisation previously needed major reforms.

This didn’t happen.

Some ideas that I have floated in the past seem to be the way others are thinking at the heart of Europe, such as the European Border Force, and a version of my idea for patrolling the Med. The EU idea is for a coastguard; my idea is for a military presence, my idea is better, because human trafficking will become armed human trafficking with military grade weapons.

The fact that the migrant crisis has left Europe politically paralysed is a bad thing, yes, we must help the genuine refugees but not those who seek to circumvent the law to gain access to Europe. My idea of detention for all is backed by European Council President Donald Tusk, he got to the position, I came to rather late, but he is here now!

With Europe in turmoil and the vote to stay in not guaranteed, Sir John Major has warned flirting with leaving the European Union is "very dangerous". I don’t think so, yes, the EU has many plus points, but the negatives cannot be fixed or addressed due to lack of will of politicians.

Major also believes that a Brexit would create a "high probability" that Scotland would leave the UK.

This is scaremongering and I don’t believe for a minute that the Scottish people will become flexed by leaving no matter how much the SNP try to use the situation for political advantage.

Why does the SNP want to remain in Europe?

They want access to the Euro and the European Central Bank.

The SNP think they can circumvent the EU membership and bypass membership articles which are a requirement for entry, Article 49; this article gives all members states the right of veto, the SNP want to try and bypass this right.

That however cannot and will not happen.

David Cameron is preparing for talks in Brussels on his reform demands, it is a waste of his time, and everyone else’s time, there is no real renegotiation, already his key demands have been shot down. He made promises and now he can’t deliver on his promises to the electorate.

It happens in politics.

Screwed by your allies!

So, we have David Cameron on a sticky wicket, his European adventure will not generate what he wants, he can’t sell failure, and now he says he "rule nothing out" if he fails to get a deal.

And he ain’t getting a deal worth a plug nickel.

Will David Cameron be prepared to recommend a vote to leave the EU if his demands are not met?

That is a tricky one, at present I am hedging towards he won’t recommend leaving but the public might not be so attached.

Sir John Major said:

"I can't put myself inside David Cameron's mind; I can tell you what my view is: my view is that this renegotiation is important but that it shouldn't decide whether or not we remain inside the European Union because of the importance of the issue. If there is anyone in the UK who ought to be anti-European and thoroughly frustrated with them then perhaps it ought to be me. I am not a starry-eyed European, I did after all say no to the euro currency in the early 1990s, I said no to the single market and in 1996 I said no to joining Schengen when it began. So I am sceptical of a great deal of European Union policy. But flirting with leaving, at a moment when the whole world is coming together, seems to me to be very dangerous and against our long-term interests."

On the basis of this, he would look like a no voter, but he rather lets himself get away by saying the UK to "head into splendid isolation" would not be "in our interests now or, perhaps more important, in the interests of our children and grandchildren and future generations".

He is a Yes voter; he is a rich Yes voter or to clarify further, he is a very rich Yes voter, he doesn’t experience the problems that ordinary working class people experience, so for him staying in is business as usual.

As to his point about being safer, this is nonsense, we are in NATO, and also we are a global power, we can trade with the rest of the World and still continue to do business with Europe.

His carrot if that what his pitch is, is very small, too small to be any use in the debate.
As to his addon about Scotland, this is such nonsense, if the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU, we leave the EU; SNP Leader Nicola Sturgeon screaming ‘material change’ would alter nothing.

And Nicola Sturgeon wouldn’t get another referendum either; her day along with Alex Salmond has gone.

Gone!

To show how out of touch John Major is, he dismissed arguments around immigration, this issue is a major issue, if we cannot control our borders, we cannot control our economic or national security.

Wakey wakey John Major.

I would say with no appetite for reforms such an EU internal immigration policy, the immigration aspect is a key battleground for winning the fight for staying in or leaving.  And it is an economic argument, not an issue of race as so often portrayed by the left who purport to be ‘standing up for the poor’.

I am a big fan of the EU, but if matters aren’t resolved then the people of the United Kingdom will simply vote to leave, they wish to reclaim our borders, they wish a better standard of life, they want change.

As to Scotland, there isn’t much difference in opinion no matter what the SNP try and float about there being a difference. If a case is present properly, it will convince many Scots to vote to leave.

The same could be said on the other side of the argument.

It would be politically interesting if David Cameron waded into the debate and said that we should vote to leave the EU.

But I don’t see him doing that at present; people would have to see more evidence on this issue which is shaping up to be a hot potato for 2017.

To show what David Cameron is up against, Cameron vows to get 'good deal for Britain' but Angela Merkel warns free movement and migrant benefits will not change.

So he comes away with nothing, try selling that on a doorstep!

Yours sincerely

Operation ‘Save Nicola Sturgeon’; odious SNP MP Natalie McGarry’s position is looking less secure by the day as senior SNP sources are alleged to be briefing against her, the best part however is that they are saying that they ‘didn’t really like her in the first place’, what happened to ‘all Nationalist buddies together’?

Dear All

At the weekend I saw a tweet that said that senior SNP sources are briefing against the odious SNP MP Natalie McGarry, and making it clear that they didn’t like her in the first place.

Didn’t like her in the first place!

Operation Save Nicola must be in the planning stage, Nicola Sturgeon back Natalie McGarry and she was out of the Glasgow Southside Clique.

Also at the weekend, I took the time to remind people of this blog post written at the time of the Cowdenbeath By-election.

http://glasgowunihumanrights.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/cowdenbeath-by-election-special-snp.html

Two full years ago, the SNP were aware that Natalie McGarry had a question mark about her suitability to be elected to public office.

Natalie McGarry sent a tweet from her own personal twitter account highlighting this blog and trying to pass it off as being linked to the account @georgemlaird, that account was setup by Thomas Ball. The account was to brand me a paedophile among other things, at the trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Ball elected to pled guilty rather than go to trial for a lighter sentence.

Thomas Ball is back in Court on the 18th December to find out his sentence.

Natalie McGarry, along with other people closely connected with Nicola Sturgeon where also named in my witness statement, Jonathan Mackie, office manager to SNP MP Chris Stephens and Shona McAlpine, office manager to SNP MSP Shona McAlpine. As well as these two people being followers of the hate account from the start, they also retweeted the tweet sent by Natalie McGarry.

Natalie McGarry’s career started and died effectively all in the same year.

To show that the slide has continued in the SNP ranks, another MP might be getting investigated by the Westminster standards watchdog. It is said that Paul McGarry, a Lib Dem list candidate for Central Scotland in next year's Holyrood election has filed a complaint to Kathryn Hudson, the parliamentary commissioner for standards.

It seems that politics is getting interesting again.

However, I doubt that SNP MP Phil Boswell will get done, but as Kathryn Hudson, the parliamentary commissioner for standards is duty bound to undertake a preliminary inquiry to see if there is a case for a full probe, there will be bad PR attached to this story.

So, what the story?

Well, the Nationalist MP for Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill has benefitted from a tax avoidance scheme despite campaigning against such schemes; he is a hypocrite, being a hypocrite isn’t however I feel actionable by Ms. Hudson; so she will go through the motions.

As well as the Lib Dems having a bash, Scottish Labour has also jumped in and called for HM Revenue and Customs to investigate Mr Boswell’s activities. They say people would be “astonished by the apparent hypocrisy of Phil Boswell with him preaching about the evils of tax avoidance while appearing to have taken advantage of a tax avoidance scheme himself".

If you are going to nail someone to the wall, the quality of the ‘nails’ is important, no point in starting something which ends in failure, although bad PR is useful, it shouldn’t be the motive for complaining.

One thing which is interesting and might be worth a stroll round the block is that Companies House records show Mr Boswell is the sole director of Boswell and Johnston Ltd but his register of interests’ entry fails to mention the company.

Everything must be registered with the House of Commons for transparency, as well as the non-declaration, no interest-free loans or dividends he might have been paid through this firm are also listed, but the SNP are now saying Boswell has been in touch with HMRC to discuss his tax position.

Oh, that sounds a bit more ‘meaty’

As a new MP, Phil Boswell can’t be expected to know all the rules, so, I doubt that Kathryn Hudson, the parliamentary commissioner for standards will be jumping down his throat but I suspect he has used his ‘get out of jail free’ card of goodwill at Westminster.

Personally, I have no interest in whether Phil Boswell falls; I would like to see Natalie McGarry taken the distance by Kathryn Hudson, the parliamentary commissioner for standards if the WFI erupts into criminal charges.

The senior SNP now know that Natalie McGarry isn’t an asset to them, quite the opposite in fact, she is a millstone round the neck of Nicola Sturgeon, she promoted McGarry and the stench of McGarry must cleansed by removal.

Yours sincerely

France is said to maybe closing 160 Mosques in a Radical Islam Crackdown, it seems that the Paris attacks really has focused minds, but we should remember innocent Muslims need just as much protection by the State

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn seems to get a bad hearing from the press, he needs a fresh approach to his leadership of Labour, if he wants to know why, he should remember that a Lawyer for a Muslim fraudster accused of funding ISIS tried to use his letter of support to keep a criminal out of jail over Christmas, if this was a rookie MP, the whips would be going mental over this incident

Dear All

It has to be said that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has had a tough ride from the press; he has become leader in probably the most difficult time in recent Labour history. It hasn’t been a good start, quite the opposite; it seems that bad PR just attracts itself to him like a magnet.

Corbyn’s time as leader isn’t helped because he appears to be either badly advised or isn’t exercising good judgment.

The Lawyer of a Muslim fraudster accused of funding ISIS tried to use a letter of support from Jeremy Corbyn to keep his client out of jail over Christmas.

Isn’t Christmas a special time?

The guy in question was part of a gang who targeted elderly people for cash, matters only came to light after police came across this while investigating the funding of terrorism.

The fraudsters aren’t however up in court for terror charges but just targeting the elderly for cash.

What should Jeremy Corbyn have done?

Should he have written on behalf of his constituent in this matter to attempt to keep him out of jail?

What Jeremy Corbyn should have done was not touched this with a barge pole, luckily for the public, the judge turned down the pleas of the conman to get bail in this case.

This is good judgment.

The circumstances are the the Labour leader wrote a letter on behalf of Mohamed Dahir who has been found guilty of conning pensioners out of their life savings of almost £1million.

If this came across your desk as an elected politician, you wouldn’t be writing letters of support, or become involved. If this letter had been written while Jeremy Corbyn had been leader, it would mean his position would be seen as untenable, however, he did this as a backbencher so will probably continue as leader.

My advice to him is to wise up fast, he is losing any chance to win over the people and it seems that he needs to fight an internal battle to win over his own staff.

http://blogs.new.spectator.co.uk/2015/12/jeremy-corbyns-speech-falls-flat-at-labours-christmas-party/

How can you get the rank and file members to believe in you when your own staff don’t; this is a worse problem than the fraudster, although this is bad enough.

Jeremy Corbyn isn’t Jeremy Corbyn anymore, he is the leader of the Labour Party, his old life is gone; he has responsibilities beyond his own needs, wants and ego. If he doesn’t reflect on that aspect of leadership, he will lose the next election, his first and probably last as leader.

His job, his main task is to set Labour on a path that it previously tread, it is to restore trust in politics, restore trust in the Labour Party and made Labour the ‘go to’ organisation for people who need help.

Nine fraudsters are facing jail after conning the elderly out of £904,000 by pretending to be policemen investigating bank account scams.

Nine people; did Jeremy Corbyn or his staff seek to establish the circumstances of the case, if a junior MP did this, people could simply write it off as a lack of experience but Jeremy Corbyn isn’t a junior MP.

I would suggest that Jeremy Corbyn takes time off over Xmas to do some serious thinking, because as much as Labour members were crying out for change, this isn’t what they expected.

Last night Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism division described the scam as ‘one of the biggest courier fraud investigations carried out by British police’.

Commander Richard Walton said:

‘We uncovered this fraud after a separate terrorist investigation found suspicious payments into a bank account of an individual who is now believed to have travelled to Syria.
‘This callous group of criminals stole vast sums of money from extremely vulnerable and elderly people from across the country. Their despicable actions have had a terrible and devastating impact on their victims with some losing their life savings. The targeting of vulnerable men and women in their 80s and 90s is quite simply beyond belief.’

Dahir, Shakaria Aden, 21, Yasser Abukar, 23, and Mohammed Abokar, 28, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit fraud between May last year and May 2015. Ibrahim Farah, 23, was cleared of the same charge. Mohammed Abokar was also convicted of converting criminal property. Fahim Islam, 20, Achmed Abdulaziz Ahmed, 23, and Makzhumi Abukar, 23, previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud. Anrul Islam, 24, and Mohammed Youssfi, 37, pleaded guilty to money laundering.

A Labour ‎spokesman said:

'Jeremy Corbyn condemns the actions of his constituent as appalling acts against vulnerable people and wholly unacceptable.'

I think it is time that Jeremy Corbyn decided as Labour leader that he does not do letters for people facing criminal proceedings under any circumstances.

Finally, time for a joke!

“A young man moves to a village in Wales and gets talking to an old man from the village. He asks the old man what his name is; the old man gets very irate at this point and says: "See that line of houses over there? I built them all, but do they call me Jones the house builder? Do they hell! See those railway lines over there? I laid them all, but do they call me Jones the engineer? Do they hell! See those bridges over that river? I built them all, but do they call me Jones the bridge builder? Do they hell! But, a long long time ago, I fucked *one* sheep..."

The same joke applies to people who help fraudsters, something Jeremy Corbyn should remember, people have long memories and…… they vote!

Screwing the poor: unpopular Nicola Sturgeon to attend STUC in Glasgow tonight alongside Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, will Nicola be giving an impassioned speech about her Government destroyed the life chances of the working class or will it just be another opportunity to play the ‘grievance card’ against the Tories or attempt to justify her failure to support the French people?

Dear All

It seems that Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is to appear at a rally alongside Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn in sunny Glasgow. The purpose of the rally is to voice opposition against the UK Government's proposed Trade Union Bill.

The venue for the event is the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall which is expected to have about 2,000 people attend to listen to various speakers make their pitch why the bill is wrong. This event is hosted by the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) and will open with a speech by STUC general secretary Grahame Smith.

It seems that also your roving reporter, George Laird is on the attendee list; whether anything interesting is said I will let you know.

So, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon is attending, given she and her government have shafted the poor, her tone will be loud and angry about what the Tories are planning to do, all the while forgetting what she has done.

Life chances for the poor are getting worse under the SNP!

I know some of the speakers, one of them being Chris Stephens who was elected as an MP, his claim to fame is that during candidate selection at the Pollok SNP branch, he sat back as an Asian man was abused.

And did nothing, what a hero!

The biggest dick of the night however must be reserved for another of Nicola Sturgeon’s pals called Aamer Anwar, what he is doing there is anyone’s guess. I expect he is working on a future SNP candidacy down the line.At that point, the SNP will really be fucked even more than they are at present, Anwar likes to play the race card; recently he has start praying and says he has ‘found’ God. I obviously can’t speak for God but I would strongly suggest when Anwar comes calling don’t answer the door.

For Labour, there is said to be Jenny Marra, the MSP and there is a un-named "special guest", presumably this isn’t Santa or the Krankies?

Other people attend outside to form a picket are Stop the War who wish to do a picket line outside by their anti-War activists. One can see the point if the speakers are pro air strikes, but this is obviously a publicity stunt by them to try and hog the limelight.

Stop the War = don’t bomb Isis.

Recently the Green MP Caroline Lucas decided to stop being involved with Stop the War:

“Caroline stepped back from the Stop the War Coalition a few weeks ago. Her busy parliamentary and constituency schedule means that she doesn’t have time to fully engage with the role of a Patron and, in light of some recent StWC positions that she didn’t support, she felt standing down was the responsible thing to do. Like the Stop the War Coalition, Caroline is opposed to British bombing in Syria because it will neither keep Britain safe nor help bring about a lasting peace in Syria.”

Pressure is on Jeremy Corbyn to have nothing to do with these cranks.

Here is something to click and read re Stop the War:

http://order-order.com/2015/12/07/14-times-stop-the-war-did-not-call-it-right/

This is when they got it wrong, much like Nicola Sturgeon recently did on bombing Isis, what a fool she made of herself doing that piece of PR.

As I say, if anyone says anything interesting then I will let you know, other than that I will just let people yap and see what comes out.

I hope that the evening will be spent talking about the UK Government Bill and doesn’t wander off track to talk about Syria.

Yours sincerely

Muslim list SNP MSP Humza Yousaf calls on UK Government to ban Donald Trump from the UK on the basis of ‘hate speech’, Trump says there should be a ban on all Muslims entering the United States after the terrorist incident in California, like the SNP, Trump has learned how to exploit people’s fears for personal political gain

Dear All

Donald Trump is an American businessman who is standing for the nomination to become President of the United States.

Given the latest terrorist incident in America, Donald Trump has called for all Muslims to be banned from the United States. This is a populist policy which would find favour with a certain aspect of American society, but it is hardly fair and most certainly not constitutional. It may garner him support for his campaign but it could and never would be put into practice.

Not surprisingly, people have condemned his suggestion, and some people are calling for a boycott of Donald Trump’s Scottish hotels and golf courses.

Will this happen?

No!

The reason is that people who can afford to stay in a Trump hotel aren’t the type of people to take the advice of the great unwashed, also the idea that the presidential hopeful would be barred from the UK is also pie in the sky.

Trump some time ago was given an honorary degree by Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2010, campaigners want the degree removed from Trump, obviously this puts the University in a tricky position as removing degrees is generally ‘not the done thing’.

Trump as part of his justification for the ban on Muslims says that Muslims nurse a "hatred" for Americans. He also cited the couple who opened fire and killed 14 people at a health centre in San Bernardino, California, and linked the two together in his call for a ban.

I think that Donald Trump would be a disaster for American politics, and certainly he wouldn’t be a good President but if he gets in, America will follow his direction. Allow people from certain countries can be refused access to America; it is unusual for people of an entire religion to be banned.

Muslim list MSP Humza Yousaf said that Mr Trump's call, if implemented, would transform America into an "apartheid state".

Actually, it wouldn’t, the ban on foreigners wouldn’t affect the rights of American Muslims but it would affect him, his wife, Aamer Anwar and SNP MP Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh.

English woman Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, the ex Labour, ex Tory political butterfly currently attached to the SNP said she believed that Trump needs to be barred from the UK for "hate preaching".

If anyone in authority was listening to her, she wouldn’t get anywhere with her complaint, not this side of a Presidential election. If Trump got elected President, would the UK bar him, I think not.

Patrick Harvie, the Scottish Green MSP for Glasgow, also lodged a motion at Holyrood condemning Mr Trump and urging the public to consider boycotting his Scottish businesses.

Well Patrick can certainly ask but rich people don’t tend to follow the advice of poor people so would Patrick suggest they downsize to a local B&B?

Harvie added:

"This bigoted blowhard of a man is being rightly condemned far and wide, and I'm confident that Scotland will reject his extremist rhetoric.”

Some thing which Patrick said which was really funny was:

“Trump is now more than just a vulgar attention-seeker; he represents truly dangerous ideas, and should not be tolerated.”

Patrick, he is so rich that he wouldn’t even know your name or care what you do, Holyrood is so far down on his horizon, it might as well be a community council in his eyes.

Although there is a history of banning people coming to the UK such as the Westboro Bapist Church (who are all mental), controversial French comedian Dieudonne and US rapper Tyler, Trump isn’t in the same league, and he might become President.

How bad would that look if David Cameron banned a possible future President of the USA?

Muslim list MSP Humza Yousaf added Trump's comments were "divisive, hateful and designed to cause division between communities”.

Maybe Humza could send him an SNP membership form, after all this is the SNP Cult’s stock in trade, he would fit right in and he has got money!!!!!

Other ideas of Trump noted by Yousaf were Muslims should face increased surveillance, a register created so that they can be easily identified and Mosques closed down.

In France, three Mosques were recently closed down by the French Government because of extremism.

https://www.rt.com/news/324354-france-close-radical-mosques/

Should we also ban all French people and businesses in Scotland, and deny the French access to the UK?

I don’t know, I am just asking the question since Yousaf is making his case for banning Trump, incidentally, I am not pro Trump, he along with the SNP fucked the local people in Aberdeen to build his golf course.

Something which is worth pointing out to HumzaYousaf!

Yousaf also stated:

“This is hate speech that if implemented would undoubtedly lead to the US becoming an apartheid state. I am aware of a petition to the Home Secretary asking her to consider banning Donald Trump from entering the UK. I hope she will give it due consideration as we should not allow hate speech which seeks to divide communities unfettered access to the UK.”

Trump is doing what all shallow politicians do, he is using any issue and populist politics to try and get into public office, and to do so; he will say anything to get a vote much like Nicola Sturgeon.

He is just like the ‘hollow men’ of the Scottish National Party.

As to the petition to bar Trump that will go straight in the bin!

Yours sincerely

The Two Courts of the divided SNP, the Court of King Alex and the Court of Queen Nicola, Alex Salmond is like a bull in a china shop undermining Sturgeon’s leadership, but let’s not forget the Sterling job that Nicola Sturgeon is doing, her continual vain attempts to appear as a caring human being are failing, how does Sturgeon get rid of Salmond before Salmond gets rid of her?

Dear All

When Alex Salmond stood down as SNP leader after failing to win Scottish independence, it wasn’t unexpected by me, indeed, I was saying this was what was going to happen on the blog.

He duly went into a sulk and with his tail between his legs he exited stage left, leaving no one to challenge Nicola Sturgeon for the leadership of the SNP.

Salmond who like Sturgeon wants to be the centre of attention needed a new venue, so he was shipped off back to Westminster.

This although solving the problem of getting Salmond out of Holyrood created another problem.

There are two courts in the SNP now, the Court of King Alex and the Court of Queen Nicola.

Time and time again at Westminster, Salmond has been opening his mouth to set policy which undermines Sturgeon. This is amusing to me; she can’t do anything about it, so she ignores Salmond or corrects him.

The leadership of Nicola Sturgeon has been plagued by scandal after scandal, her policy decisions are flawed, she craves attention and failure hangs round her neck like an albatross. And on top of that Salmon is like the proverbial loose cannon which she cannot stop firing.

It’s all good, the more Salmond speaks the more he undermines her flagging authority; Nicola Sturgeon isn’t cut out to be a leader. You can see it in her face, you can hear it in her tone, and you can see it looking at her clunky stage managed photo opportunities.

Yesterday, we saw Nicola Sturgeon in Paris, with such bad PR back home, she goes to one of the Paris massacre sites for a ‘private’ visit, just her…….. and the press.

It was pathetic, it was staged managed and it looked to me to be of the same vein as her use of children, to make you think this is a caring woman.

The lady doth protest too much!

When Salmond opened his mouth to make political capital out of what Tony Benn might have thought of his son, Sturgeon had more than enough opportunity to slap Salmond down, but she didn’t, she couldn’t pull the trigger for fear of upsetting Salmond.

The Court of King Alex will grow as Sturgeon is seen as the lame duck leader who rode to success on the back of Alex Salmond’s coat tails because she couldn’t do the job. Recent scandals; all seems to have a similar theme, people connected to Nicola Sturgeon.

Salmond has avoided the bad press of the Natalie McGarry scandal or the Michelle Thomson scandal since he wasn’t leader or particularly close to these people, but it seems that Nicola Sturgeon is, in particular with McGarry, joined at the hip.

Sturgeon publicly came out in support of McGarry describing her as a ‘good pal’; she is also seen as a Sturgeon protégée having come out of the Sturgeon Southside clique.

Having Salmond doing what he is doing is like having a bull in a china shop, as you clear up one mess, another accident is waiting to happen, too many accidents and people will be looking at Sturgeon to ask the question.

When is she going to resign?

Yours sincerely

Le misérable traître, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon lays bare publicly her angst at betraying the People of France, Europe is gearing up for war but this shallow hollow inept and totally vacuous woman devoid of principles and integrity has her 54 SNP MPs do petty gesture politics at Westminster, you Nicola are a clown

Dear All

‘Madam Surrender’!

Having betrayed the French after claiming to stand ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with them, it seems that unpopular Nicola Sturgeon decided to burden us all with her angst over Syrian air strikes.

With European nations all gearing up to support the French in their hour of need, where’s Scotland?

Where’s Scotland is actually a good question, well it seem that Nicola Sturgeon after rather than backing France is in grievance mode, as people remember the dead lying in the streets of Paris, Sturgeon’s moaning that airstrikes, are going ahead despite her 54 sheep voting against them.

The idea is simple, forget the dead of Paris concentrate on Scottish independence what a dreadful wretched creature she is as a human being.

Sturgeon opines that the fight against Daesh is one that cannot be ‘shirked and which must be won’. This she says needs to be put on the record from the start. Just in case some people want to throw about the phrase ‘terrorist sympathisers’. She also goes on to say that ‘extremists of the kind who perpetrated the Paris atrocities and who daily commit slaughter in Syria and elsewhere must be defeated’.

I think you will find that 5.56 mm NATO is quite good on situations such as this, along with targeted air strikes based on intelligence. Of course, the air strikes cannot win a war of this nature; it will require a ground war. That however is rather tricky as it is doubtful that NATO will get land bases preferably in Turkey, and I can’t see them agreeing to that arrangement.

In an exclusive glimpse of her angst, Nicola Sturgeon, strategic thinker (Dreghorn region) has muttered:

“The question then is not whether to combat them, but how – and how to do it most effectively?”

Sturgeon used to work in Drumchapel Law Centre which must have had a lot of experience in internal conflict resolution. Presumably someone might mention to her in passing that ‘Capture or kill’ is the most effective solution. Isn’t it ironic that Nicola Sturgeon harks on about Tony Blair’s ‘dodgy dossier’ when she was involved for two solid years during the Scottish independence trying to dupe Scots into voting for independence based a con trick. Now all of a sudden, she is the oracle, the all ‘seeing eye’, the fountain of all knowledge and wisdom.

Nicola Sturgeon’s sheep voted against air strikes, because Scotland has been saddled with dross, they trooped in the division to cast as I see it, an anti Tory vote. As her sheep stepped up to betray the French, it was Scotland’s shame that was on show, nothing to do with pride, nothing to do with understanding international affairs, nothing to do with common decency. It is what it is another colossal SNP balls up, a failure of leadership, a failure of loyalty and failure of statesmanship.

Sturegon makes reference to the 70,000 “moderate” Syrian forces prepared to take on Daesh as part of her justification, that is pitiful. The solution is a joint Russian/NATO venture which would be radical and highly unusual; it would take a lot of planning, goodwill and co-operation. And when it was over, NATO would have to step out of Syria and not attempt to undermine the legitimate current government.

As part of her mitigation ‘defence’, Sturgeon used the words of Nicolas Henin, he is a Frenchman who was held hostage by Daesh for 10 months. He thinks that bombing of Syria is only likely to benefit the extremists.

He said:

“At the moment, with the bombings, we are more likely pushing the people into the hands of Isis. What we have to do, and this is really key; we have to engage the local people. As soon as the people have hope in the political solution, then Islamic State will just collapse. It will have no ground any more. It will collapse.”

That’s just nonsense; this assumes that the recreational killers of Islamic State look at other people’s opinions as having relevance to them. They don’t, they don’t care about the ‘political situation’ round about them; they believe they engaged in a jihad, a holy war, they are going to stop torture, murder and rape because some people are ‘happy’ about the state of the country’s politics.

To this piece of sparkling wisdom, Sturgeon said:

“We would do well to heed those sentiments – words which come from someone who has looked the fanatics of Daesh in the eye and lived to tell the tale”.

I nearly died just recently in the Scottish NHS; does that make me an expert in medicine or of your mismanagement of the health service Nicola?

“Of course there is a danger in any talk of a political and diplomatic solution sounding glib”.

Ohhhhh did you think that one up yourself Nicola or did one of your PR spanners come up with it?

I mean this is comedy gold folks.

“You cannot negotiate with Daesh – that much is clear. But what surely must be possible, in the medium to longer term, is a political settlement that ends the fighting in Syria between the other non-Daesh factions, thus depriving the extremists of the chaos and catastrophe in which they have been allowed to thrive”.

No, the Kurds want a homeland and that homeland would take in part of Turkey, a NATO country, who won’t allow part of their soil to become part of a Kurdish state. One wonders, has she been watching too much ‘Borgen’, is there an episode where a politician keeps spouting bullshit that they know nothing about, egged on by the loons behind them who do the ‘nodding dug routine’?

“In terms of Scotland’s view, almost all of our democratically elected representatives at Westminster voted against UK airstrikes, but those strikes are now going ahead anyway”.

A miserable oily little piece of grievance politics which shows how small minded Nicola Sturgeon is, there are 650 people entitled to vote, the SNP depending on scandals has 54 MPs. A clear majority of the 650 MPs voted for military action, 329 MPs did the right thing and the only thing, when France called for aid, Britain’s MPs stood shoulder to shoulder with France.

The Scottish National Party didn’t, it was a horrible betrayal of an ancient ally of Scotland, but let’s be clear, the SNP don’t have ‘friends’, they are a cult who use people and then discard them.

Now, we get to the real reason for Nicola Sturgeon’s angst in my opinion:

“Indeed one of the least edifying aspects of recent days has been the rush from some quarters to use the Syrian crisis as a stick with which to try to beat the SNP including, bizarrely, citing the party’s unity on the issue as somehow wrong or delegitimising our arguments”.

So, let us first start with the crap of the ‘party’s unity’, the SNP rules clearly don’t allow dissent, so ‘forced unity’ isn’t unity at all. The SNP MPs are sheep; most of them are totally out of their depth at Westminster. I did get a laugh during the debate from the SNP (suspended), the odious Natalie McGarry chipped in with the rather novel notion that Isis funding should be cut off. Given the current scandal which Natalie McGarry is linked to concerning Women for Independence, this raised a laugh, one wonders did she think this up all by herself?

It seems that having failed on the domestic scene in Scotland, Sturgeon wants to make a fool of herself and the SNP on the international stage; well she certainly did that by betraying the French people. Perhaps Nicola Sturgeon can go over to #campstupid which has set up on the grass next to Holyrood. Maybe she can use ‘diplomatic’ pressure to tell them to pack up and piss off.

Finally, yet again, Nicola Sturgeon has exposed herself as a shallow hollow inept and totally vacuous woman devoid of principles and integrity. We are getting treated to her spewing out rubbish in the guise of angst. Nicola Sturgeon is yesterday’s woman, like Alex Salmond, politics has moved past her, Scotland has moved past her. All, she had to do was one simple task, back our ally France in their time of need, every other country answered the call, Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP didn’t.

Yours sincerely

Migrant crisis leading to Fortress Europe?: European Council President Donald Tusk wants to detain all refugees arriving in Europe for security checks, these people must be put into camps without exception, eventually everyone comes round to the George Laird view; it just takes them a bit longer to get there, my ideas still ahead of the curve

Dear All

Eventually everyone comes round to the George Laird view, you will have noticed this many times on the blog where I have put forward ideas and then someone in a position of power comes to the same conclusion.

But I get there first.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, I wrote a blog post that the migrant crisis required drastic solutions. That post raised the issue that Migrants needed to be detained. On Thursday, November 19, 2015, I did another post fleshing out ideas which over the years I have been floating for EU Reform.

Here are some of the measures that I proposed:

1/ EU Border Force

2/ EU internal immigration policy for EU citizens

3/ intervention and mobilisation of the military in member states

4/ New EU wide ID card scheme

5/ No non EU economic migrant processed from this crisis and allowed to remain within an EU country which has accept them can travel to any other EU member state. Everyone should be completely documented, if a breach occurred; the person or group will be returned to the EU country they were settled and registered in.

I also stated that it was a matter of national security that there needed to be detention camps built, because this is a matter of national security which so far has been ignored by politicians seeking to enhance their profile of being 'caring'.

Now, the European Council President Donald Tusk has come to the George Laird view, detain all refugees arriving in Europe. He wants 18 months detention for tougher screening measures to address security risks.

He also added which I have blogged on many times that Angela Merkel’s open-door policy Is ‘dangerous’.

Angela Merkel after making a fool of herself is banking on a mandatory refugee-sharing regime to get her out of the hole she dug by her off the cuff statement that ‘everyone’s welcome’.

Across Europe ordinary people are now saying ‘no, they are not’, public confidence in EU governments’ ability to tackle the immigration crisis is ebbing away. They see no logical approach but just stare as chaos unfolds all around them.

The building of detention camps is a necessary first step because Syrians must be separated from the other nationalities using the confusion to slip into Europe. It is also known that Terrorists are hiding among the migrants; that is conservatively put at 2 in a 100 people.

Tusk also said:

“Syrians are only the 28-30% of the influx. Seventy per cent of them are [irregular] migrants. This is why we need more effective controls. It’s obvious.”

Whether this idea will get off the ground, along with my other previous ideas remains to be seen, however, the mandatory refugee-sharing quota is no solution. It is said that the EU needs to re-invent itself if it wishes to survive in some shape or form. Europe’s most powerful politician, Angela Merkel has done incredible damage in Europe by her ill-judged comments, her threats and her bad policy making decisions.

Whether people like it or not, and some don’t, if the current situation is not dealt with, we place ourselves on the road to civil war, a clash of cultures. Yesterday I remarked on the situation in Sweden, 17 migrant centres burned down in two months, one in five people now supporting the far-right Swedish Democrat party who are anti-immigration.

This will dissent will grow as politicians continually refuse to listen to their people, there is a political vacuum in Europe, the longer it remains unaddressed the more it will pull people towards the far right.

If we value our freedom, our democracy and our way of life, we have to defend it, people speak of Fortress Europe, it may have to come to that, but that concept will keep gaining ground while action is piecemeal and ineffective.

When the backlash comes, it will see political parties swept away because people will decide that they have had their chance.

Let’s look at this, Merkel recently told the Bundestag (Parliament) that the survival of the EU’s free-travel Schengen area hinged on whether national governments could agree on a permanent new regime of sharing refugees.

Schengen is dead, it will remain so why the borders aren’t secure, do you see how out of touch Merkel is, she doesn’t get it, she doesn’t understand the problems and she isn’t part of the solution.

Which is why Europe will become dangerous, violence isn’t just around the corner, it is already here. Yesterday Greece has asked for EU help in managing its borders, as thousands of migrants remain stuck on its northern frontier with Macedonia.

See my idea number 1, the new EU border Force, it would contain both military and civilian aspects to deal with situations like this, and someone has to deal with it.

Yours sincerely

Hilary Benn's Impassioned Speech Ahead Of Syria Airstrikes Vote Sky News, he says what has to be said, and more people should hear this, we cannot walk away from our responsibilities

Syrian air strikes, Westminster MPs vote 397 votes to 223 to authorise UK action against Islamic State, RAF Tornado jets carry out their first air strikes against Islamic State hitting the IS-controlled Omar oil fields in eastern Syria, in case anyone doesn’t ‘get it’, our business is stopping terrorists

Dear All

There is nothing wrong in being a pacifist, at present there is a debate about the use of the UK military in Syria.

I will state my view first, I believe that military action is needed in Syria to defeat Isis and to support the legitimate Government of Syria led by Bashir Assad.

Whether the West likes it or not, he is the President of that country and we have no business trying to undermine his regime.

Let’s talk about Tony Blair.

Do you remember the ‘crusades’?

Not the middle ages, the ‘crusades’ pioneered by George W Bush which Tony Blair climbed on board after President Clinton left office. Blair although bring the Labour Party their best years of electoral success destroyed his legacy with Afghanistan and Iraq. He made it so that the public was turned off the UK doing armed intervention for the right reasons.

He queered the pitch.

When David Cameron previously floated the idea of armed intervention in Syria using airstrikes, I was against it, he didn’t make his case and the Commons agreed with me, they voted No.

Paris changed everything for many people.

Something you might have missed is that in France, the French have launched a crackdown against radicalisation of Muslims, to that end; three Mosques have been shut down by French authorities. In case, you think that is the end of the matter, it won’t be, right across Europe, the mood of people is changing and the mood of the State.

And it isn’t changing for the better.

In Sweden, 17 migrant centres burned down in two months, one in five people now support the far-right Swedish Democrat party who are anti-immigration. In Germany, there have been mass far right demonstrations, and in Britain, the far left have been targeting the homes of Labour MPs who want to support military action.

We aren’t yet at civil war, but we are certainly heading down that road.

Jeremy Corbyn became Labour leader because the people in the Labour Party, the ordinary members wanted a change from the Blairite era, and the relics of it still in political office. Out of four candidates, Corbyn was seen to be the man who represented that change. A lot of people put their faith in him after Ed Miliband led Labour to a disastrous election which will be felt for years to come.

The Labour Party is in trouble, not the kind of trouble that moving a few people can sort out, changing a few policies will fix, this trouble is much worst, it is a party at war with itself. Corbyn has had a shaky start to his leadership but since he is new, he still has to find his feet, but he should remember this, he is on a clock.

That clock is ticking towards the next General election, he will get one shot at winning power; his time as leader will then be effectively over, so he can’t hang about. On the domestic front, I suspect that Jeremy Corbyn has the potential to do very well.

I don’t have the same optimistic view on his take on foreign policy.

Jeremy Corbyn has got it wrong on Syria, and so has the far left, let’s do a moral maze question, to see how quickly you can solve it.

Isis Terrorist has a gun pointed at a child’s head and is going to pull the trigger, you are armed and you can stop him, what do you do?

When you hesitate in war, people die, and we are at war, don’t think because you aren’t fighting a country that we aren’t in a wartime situation, just because you can float off to Costa Del Sol or Disneyworld in Florida think that war is someone’s else’s business in a faraway land.

It’s in Europe.

If Britain MP’s by a majority didn’t back airstrikes, the Cameron Government wouldn’t have taken part, but the Americans will, the Russians will and the French will, among others.

And where would we be while innocent people were being tortured and children machine gunned to death?

We would be impotent.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qtx7hiYWwYY

Did you watch the video; it’s the footage of the machine gunning of children but if certain people get their way, these killers will get to do more, because some people lack the conviction to do the right thing.

Do you really think ‘understanding’ and a big hug will work with these people?

Hilary Benn, the Labour MP who gave a great speech in Parliament backs airstrikes; his fellow MP John McDonnell said:

"It reminded me of Tony Blair's speech taking us into the Iraq War. I am always anxious that the greatest oratory can lead us into the greatest mistakes. That is what it did in Iraq and I fear we made a mistake last night."

Good speech bad speech, it doesn’t matter when it comes to doing the right thing.

MPs have overwhelmingly backed UK air strikes last night by 397 votes to 223, after an impassioned 10-hour Commons debate, it was the right thing to do.

This isn’t Cameron’s war as spouted by Diane Abbott, who I don’t have any time for politically, her smart arse soundbyte falls rather flat in my opinion.

What is regrettable is that Jeremy Corbyn couldn’t unite the Labour Party; he has something to ponder in the months to come, what kind of political party would allow kids to be massacred because someone wants to put their personal agenda before that of the country.

One question I would like to ask Jeremy Corbyn is this; do you want to be Prime Minister?

If that is the case, then you are going the wrong way about it, the people of Britain will not put a person into that office while there is a question mark on their ability to defend this country and stand up for those who face persecution and death.

Finally, how did you get on with the moral maze question?

Yours sincerely

A Matter of Trust: Nicola Sturgeon kept quiet about Police Scotland spying on Sunday Mail journalists for five months, it is now clear to note that Scotland doesn’t have a leader in Nicola Sturgeon, how much longer can this grubby woman be allowed to poison the political life of Scotland, let's face facts, she has got to go

Dear All

Trust in politics is essential, since the SNP got into power in 2007, trust in them is collapsing; even their own members don’t trust them now.

You can’t have failed to notice that scandal after scandal plague the SNP, whether, its accusations of exploiting the poor and vulnerable, financial scandals, (yes, there is more than one) or violence, the stories keep coming out.

The Scottish press are noticing this even the Holyrood magazine is talking about the shine coming off the SNP.

https://www.holyrood.com/articles/editors-note/trouble-ahead-nicola-sturgeon?

I don’t trust Nicola Sturgeon, even when I was an SNP member, I found it hard to like it, my initial thoughts were this was someone who couldn’t be trusted, it was my gut feeling.

In September 2010, I went to the SNP National Assembly in Perth, it was hosted by Nicola Sturgeon, at that event I proposed the National Police Force and the National fire service. I outlined my idea to Marco Biagi. My idea for the Police was a single force which would have a triple lock of accountability, national board, local boards and a new justice 3 Committee.

Labour MSP Graeme Pearson in his review of Police Scotland says that there should be a new committee to oversee the Police and other emergency services.

5 years behind George Laird.

Back to Sturgeon, Nicola Sturgeon kept quiet about Police Scotland spying on Sunday Mail journalists for five months.

Five months, this raises questions not just about the practice by the Police but about her personal integrity, which as I have stated time and time again, doesn’t exist. Nicola Sturgeon is a relic of an old Scotland, the political landscape has changed, conversations have been taken place but her and the SNP aren’t party of the discussions.

There is talk about the setting up of a new party of the centre right by people sickened by Sturgeon and her crew.

This party would be small ‘c’ Conservative without being Tory, it would be a party to hold the SNP to account, which needs to happen, it will not be an SNP MK2.

So, what do you make of Nicola Sturgeon keeping her gob shut for five months?

She was the First Minister of Scotland and she did nothing, she hide behind the excuse of refusing to comment because there was an investigation.

Just as we expect to be able to trust politicians we should also expect to trust the Police and expect them to uphold the rule of law.

Something went wrong in Police Scotland because it wasn’t set up correctly, it wasn’t because it was too big, and it was because there weren’t the right personnel to lead it and right systems in place to stop abuse.

Since the scandal came to light, police have had to obtain judicial approval before using surveillance to identify journalists’ confidential sources. However despite this the Interception Communications Commissioner’s Office ruled last week that Police Scotland had broken the new rule five times.

They are calling the actions by the police regarding illegal spying as “reckless”, and it certainly is, one way to stamp it out is rather simple.

If an officer engages in illegal spying, it should be made clear that they will lose their job and be prosecuted. If this requires additional law to be put on the books, so be it, and the penalty should be prison. No surveillance should be carried out without proper authorisation and that must come from senior officers who should be update with a series of reports.

Holyrood’s justice committee meets today to discuss a potential inquiry into the scandal which should be a priority.

One thing is certain, Nicola Sturgeon in each passing day is proving herself to be not just unfit to be leader of the SNP but also unfit to be the First Minster of Scotland, it is time she considered her position and left not just public office of First Minister but politics altogether.

Nicola Sturgeon cannot be trusted with the future of Scotland, and do read the Holyrood article which I have linked to above.

Yours sincerely
