Dear All
With Labour MPs dropping like flies before the next General Election in Scotland and some MSPs standing for Westminister in their place, you would think is a run on Holyrood.
Names that have popped up as possible movers are Labour MSPs Wendy Alexander and Sarah Boyack.
As no election date is being set they cry via a spokesman from the rafters naturally, that their loyalty is Holyrood.
A Labour spokesman said;
“Wendy is staying here at Holyrood. She helped set this place up with Donald Dewar. She doesn’t want to move south.”
Just so we are clear, the building of the Parliament went from £40 million to £440 million and after the Queen opened it, the snagging work continued for some considerable time.
And of course, problems with the roof!
Rather like her other creation the GHA, that don’t work right either.
So, is there an incentive for Alexander to go?
Yes, more money and as Labour is going into opposition, time to learn the ropes and procedures.
Mind you on the negative side for her, she won’t get to be in a trendy west gym on a Monday afternoon, just down the road from her house.
But never say never is a useful adage for example Blair used the same gag while sussing out if he had support to be President of the Council of Europe.
When it came out he hadn’t, the cover story of not directly applying surfaced.
So, will the people of West Dunbartonshire be crying for a woman with a record of failure?
Only if she stands and gets elected!

Real tears will flow then.
