It seems that if you want to bring a Labour MP to justice that you have to use publicity.
Even then, the charges get watered down or reduced.
Labour Party deputy leader Harriet Harman has been fined £350 by the beak after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention.
She couldn’t be bothered to attend court to hear the verdict being at a Cabinet Meeting.
Harman reversed into a parked car in Camberwell, south London, at the time she was seen using her mobile phone the Westminster Magistrates' Court heard.
The Crown Prosecution Service on the second charge of driving while using a mobile phone withdrew that charge.
The court heard that this is not the first time Harman has been involved in car offences she already has six penalty points on her licence after being caught speeding in a 30mph zone, in 2007 and 2008.
By withdrawing the second charge of driving using a mobile phone she avoids more points that would have seen her possibly lose her licence.
So, this incident is just another little reminder that we live in a corrupt country, Harman was found guilty yes but the bare minimum was done to her.
And that was only because the incident reached the public domain.
