Glasgow University product, Labour MSP Johann Lamont goes on Newsnight Scotland to smear Alex Salmond and SNP, it backfires big time!

Dear All

If you managed to catch Newsnight Scotland last night you got a treat.

Labour Deputy Leader in Holyrood and Glasgow University Johann Lamont went on the news show to trot out the Labour line that Alex Salmond was guilty of "highly questionable behaviour”.

Then Isabel Fraser went on to 'own' her.

The key thing here is the amount of material that was published by the SNP Government.

Her performance was a bumbling stuttering and embarrassing affair.

And of course Ed Miliband, David Cameron and Nick Clegg have all met Rebekah Brooks more often in one year... than Alex Salmond has in four years.

So, the smear backfired and left Lamont with nothing to do but try and defend Labour’s lack of transparency.

All politicians court the press for several reasons, some do it for their party, policies or self advancement; others do it to push a certain agenda.

But in this story there is no evidence of wrong doing, just muck raking by the Scottish Labour Party to try and smear the Scottish Government in the same manner as they have done the Tories at Westminster.

So, it is a gimmick, however it was a gimmick that backfired, if you are going to shout your mouth off about inappropriate behaviour at least have some evidence to present to the court of public opinion.

Glasgow University product Johann Lamont walked into the Newsnight Scotland studio to try and smear but her lack of preparation was woeful, she couldn’t think on her feet either.

And came across as an idiot!

Is this the Labour Party plan for the long road back to power?

Allegation without substance!

Subjective opinion trailed as evidence.

Ed Miliband, David Cameron and Nick Clegg have all met Rebekah Brooks more often in one year... than Alex Salmond has in four years.

I previously said that the Murdoch Empire should give the SNP a fair shout and look at on their record in government.

They agreed with that general concept but their support isn’t a blank cheque and should never be treated as such by the SNP.

Labour’s problem is that the Murdoch and his Empire have abandoned the Labour Party in Scotland because they are crap.

And in Johann Lamont the Labour problem is in living breathing form, not smart, not prepared and unable to think on her feet.

The people of Pollok could have got a decent MSP in Chris Stephens of the SNP, after her performance, you could say she hasn’t a grasp on reality.

Pathetic does do this Glasgow University product justice.

Yours sincerely
