Does Britain need a future Labour leader who said that 'Britain invented racism', Diane Abbott is not suitable

Dear All

It’s a miracle!

Diane Abbott has gained enough nominations to get onto the Labour leadership ballot paper.

You might think this is a bit odd that a woman who called British people racist should have secure enough votes among Labour MPs.

But it is happened.

So, why would Diane Abbott want to lead a racist country?

Answers on a postcard please!

Each week on the programme This Week, I watch her; Michael Portillo and Andrew Neil discuss political and social topics.

Diane Abbott is fine as long as she agrees with people who come in to do interviews but when she disagrees, the anger is barely hidden behind the eyes.

The backbencher has reached the threshold after fellow left-winger John McDonnell withdrew from the race.

His joke of wanting to go back in time and assassin Thatcher went down like a lead balloon.

So, what is her public USP?

It stems from she isn’t one of the four former white cabinet ministers - Ed Balls, Andy Burnham and David and Ed Miliband.

In a nutshell, her campaign message is she isn’t white, male and part of the New Labour clique.

Diane Abbott is portrayed as a left winger who entered the race because she wanted to offer an alternative to the male, middle class New Labour field but if you check the register of interests, she has a right winger view about money.

I see her as a phoney socialist, gaffe prone and ‘do as I say not as I do’.

Example, she criticises Harriet Harman for sending her kids to selective state schools but later sends her son to private school.

Her ex-husband David Thompson revealed that she put her son, James down for three private schools and never had any intention of sending him to a State one.

I would say that people might think she is a hypocrite.

The Labour Party needs many things to change but not Diane Abbott to be in charge.

Yours sincerely
