Gordon Matheson, Glasgow City Council leader delivers an important message to Team Sturgeon, ‘I am the leader, and you aint’, suits you Sir!

Dear All

It seems that Gordon ‘free dinners’ Matheson has taken the time out of his busy schedule to do a bit of crowing and rubbing people’s faces in it.

Specifically Team Sturgeon!

In the run up to the Glasgow City Council election much was made by the Scottish National Party that they were going to win the city outright.

Muslim list MSP Humza Yousaf said that Glasgow was now an SNP City after the 2011 landslide.

He gets a lot wrong.

The leader of the SNP Group at that time was Allison Hunter, a member of Team Sturgeon.

She led the epic defeat, after the talk died of outright win, it switched to doing deals with others to form a ‘coalition’.

I just stood on the sidelines watching the slow slide to disaster, which I knew was coming.

In a recorded hustings Gordon ‘free dinners’ Matheson did a blinder when he uttered the now famous words:

‘Why, why, why won’t Allison stand up for Glasgow’?

Her reply to the question; which incidentally she needed help from other political parties to understand:

“I don’t know maybe it was anti City!”

Blown out of the water and stuck up on youtube for all time.

Anyway with his bacon on line, Matheson rose to the challenge, his team refreshed, his policies up to the mark and a desire to win which the SNP lacked by what was to turn out to be a feeble performance.

Glasgow Labour ran riot!

Sitting back now Matheson declares:

“This is my term and my mandate.”

The SNP’s list of candidates was a who’s who of people attached to the Sturgeon clique.

What an astonishing coincidence, some of whom hadn’t done a single day of activism in the areas they got candidacies in.

When it came to Election day; the people of Glasgow had a choice, did they go with Team Sturgeon as the supposed enlightenment or stick with Labour whose record was awful, performance weak, leadership tainted and a general feeling they need to go.

In the end as bad as the Labour Council was perceive, the ordinary Glaswegian took a look at the SNP and decided that it was Labour who spoke for working class Glaswegians.

In manifesto’s terms Labour offered a better and wider range of ‘goodies’ than the SNP, in the battle of the billboards, it was Labour who won, leaflets Labour again, and of course as we seen candidates, Labour got 44 out of 45 people.

The SNP got 27 out of 43.

Matheson may now be possibly looking at Holyrood and with other former Labour MSPs holding councillor positions, he maybe off.

If I took anything from my experience of standing for SNP candidate selection, it was that hard work, vision and loyalty are totally meaningless.

No matter how hard you work, no matter if you do every task asked of you in a professional manner, you can still be failed.

Merit is meaningless in the Scottish National Party.

The reason that the SNP isn’t the new administration of Glasgow City Council is obvious to me.

Matheson is enjoying his moment in the sun and why shouldn’t he, 2017 if he is still there, he gets the opportunity to do it again.

Some people in the Scottish National Party really are too stupid to learn.

Yours sincerely
