The rule of Law is one of the fundamental tenets of any country that must be preserved at all costs.
Three muslim men were today jailed for an arson attack on a publisher in a hate filled attempt at stopping free speech. Martin Rynja had the door to his home in Lonsdale Square, Islington, North London, doused in diesel and set ablaze. Ali Beheshti and Abrar Mirza admitted, and Abbas Taj was found guilty of the attack on Mr. Rynia.
Mrs Justice Rafferty, sitting at London's Royal Courts of Justice, sentenced each of them to four and a half years in prison at London's Royal Courts of Justice. She said: 'If you choose to live in this country, you live by its rules'.
Barrister Andrew Hall QC, for Beheshti, argued today in mitigation that the arson attack was 'an act of protest born of the publication of a book felt by him and other Muslims to be disrespectful, provocative and offensive”.
That is pure bullshit and subjective opinion and certainly not an excuse for carrying out an arson attack.
Hall on behalf of his client said;
'He wishes me to say now, publicly, that he considers his conduct to have been misguided, disproportionate and counter-productive.'
To get a lower sentence no doubt.
Muslim people have the right to full protection the same as any other citizen under the law but Muslim people have to accept that this by enlarge is an open society.
These people could have killed someone for exercising their right of free speech and that is totally unacceptable.
People like this should be doing 15 years in Prison to make sure people understand that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.
Finally; it appears that Beheshti seems to think he is a budding terrorist, perhaps someone should explain the proper way to hold a P99. If he was firing a real P99 then he is in danger of breaking his wrist and hitting nothing over distance.
