Dear All
Alex Salmond has renewed his challenge to David Cameron to
take part in a debate on Scottish independence.
Why?
Why look stupid and needy?
This is the third time that Salmond has called on David
Cameron to ‘save’ his failing independence campaign.
So, what has changed?
Nothing!
But apparently the Scottish and UK Cabinets are to meet
within miles of each other.
Does that justify a debate?
The SNP has failed to win over Scots, or to be more precise
Alex Salmond; who uses a ‘jolly fat man’ act and unpopular Nicola Sturgeon who
does an ongoing routine that Nicola ‘Cares’ about people failed to win over Scots.
That act recently played down at Govan Shipbuilders where
Sturgeon went to ‘fight’ for shipyard workers’ jobs.
How many did she save out of 835?
Well, let me try and remember, oh that’s right she ‘saved’
none at all.
835 jobs and 835 failures!
What an achievement if I do say so myself.
Of course there was the promise of “help” by her, which will
probably amount to very little.
Is she going to stand at the gates and point the way to the
jobcentre that would be a real ‘help’ since she was previously the MSP for that
part of Ward 5.
In a new letter to Number 10, Salmond said:
"It has been reported that you plan to hold a meeting
of your Cabinet in the North East on February 24. By happy coincidence, the
Scottish Cabinet are meeting in Portlethen on the same day, followed by a
public question and answer session with some of the people who will be deciding
Scotland's future in September's referendum. As you will know, Portlethen is
just seven miles from Aberdeen. UK Government ministers, including yourself,
regularly come to Scotland to make the case against independence, and yet you
consistently refuse to debate the issues with me. Once again, I challenge you
to that debate, an encounter which is supported by the overwhelming majority of
the people of Scotland - and indeed by people across the rest of the UK as
well. As we will both be in the same area on February 24th; that would be the
ideal time and place."
Salmond really is a loser, he never should have asked in the
first place, and he will not get to turn the Scottish independence debate into
a Scotland VS England grudge, grievance and malcontent match.
There is only one fight on the cards and that is Salmond VS Darling.
Cameron is quite right, nothing to gain and why give the
impression that Salmond is his equal or elevate his position in any way.
A Downing Street spokeswoman confirmed that the UK Cabinet
will meet in Scotland.
Maybe if they are lucky they might get a few cybernats turn
up and shout at them.
Commenting on Salmond's letter, she said:
"The Prime Minster made his position on this very clear
in the letter he wrote to the First Minster last year."
Alex Salmond shows us another failure of leadership, the fear must be
rising, he is trapped like a rat in a barrel, can’t escape, no exit and no help
coming.
Yours sincerely

This calling for a debate is getting so old. Salmond's support is eroding within the SNP.
