Scottish independence: new poll shows only two fifths of women think unpopular Nicola Sturgeon is intelligent, Alex Salmond’s currency debacle triggers backlash as currency becomes a key issue which the SNP have already lost with the public
Dear All
One of the key failures of this Scottish independence referendum campaign was the arrogance of Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond and unpopular Nicola Sturgeon.
Arrogance and stupidity on an industrial scale!
At the start of the campaign I nailed my colours to the mast and said that there must be a separate Scottish pound.
In the many indy debates I have attended on the BBC pretty much without except every issue I have flagged up has been proved to be correct.
I famously in May 2012 on the BBC said that the SNP had to adopt Nato, they went on to do so, my other point that they had to sign up for a nuclear Faslane was ignored to their cost.
In order to try and win the ‘women’s vote’, the Scottish National Party put Scotland unpopular Deputy First Minster Nicola Sturgeon to be the ‘face of independence’, that was a colossal mistake.
Scottish women hate Nicola Sturgeon.
Sturgeon was supposed to reach out to women because the SNP found that they had a serious problem trying to sell Salmond to women.
Now the issue of currency has created a tipping point that more or less locks in a No vote, uncertainty over currency is a key factor in why half of Scottish women will be voting No.
Women are literally unwilling to risk their futures and that of their families.
Over half of women (55%) think Salmond wants independence mainly because he wants to be the leader of the country.
The majority is right; Salmond wants his place in history regardless of what damage he does in the process.
A majority of women also described Salmond as arrogant (55%), which begs the question, how can a man be arrogant when he has to be spoon fed ideas?
29% of women described Salmond as dishonest; presumably this is based on the lies being spewed out by him and the SNP on a range of issues.
In a blow for Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minster Nicola Sturgeon only two-fifths said she is intelligent.
No luck Nicola Sturgeon.
Of course, some women may have confused rat like cunning as intelligence which we all know isn't the same, Sturgeon has jumped from grievance to grievance trying to sell independence to an increasing disbelieving Scottish public.
And still she can’t get a vote!
Scottish Labour MSP Jackie Baillie said:
“This poll is a major blow to Alex Salmond’s failing campaign and confirms the momentum is with those of us who believe the brightest future for Scotland is as part of the UK. The more women in Scotland consider the consequences of separation for our pound, pensions and public services, the more we are saying no thanks”.
Baillie added:
“Alex Salmond is so obsessed with breaking up the UK that he is blind to the risks of separation. Women in Scotland aren’t. We know that we can have the best of both worlds for Scotland - more powers for our Scottish Parliament guaranteed, and the strength of being part of something bigger. We should say no thanks to putting that at risk on 18 September.”
In a rather nasty attack on democracy, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon said:
“There is a real risk of the Tories being re-elected next year”.
And to show she can have a career as a parrot after she leaves politics, she uttered:
“We believe women will vote Yes next month, because it is our one opportunity to protect our NHS from Westminster privatisation, create more jobs in Scotland, and transform childcare instead of wasting billions of pounds of Scottish taxpayers’ money on Trident nuclear weapons.”
The SNP front called Yes Scotland is running with a slogan “one opportunity”.
Well Nicola ………….. take your “one opportunity” and piss off!
Yours sincerely

SNP childcare policy?
Already in Glasgow alone over 1000 kids are without a placement. The result of SNP Government mismanagement.
Look out, extremely desperate claims are on the way over the next month or so.
From Project Fantasy to downright threats.
