If the SNP wishes to win Glasgow Westminster MP seats their Glasgow Campaign must be the Labour Council's record

Dear All

Not before time by the SNP.

The fight to take Glasgow from the Glasgow Labour Party has finally sunk in with the SNP acknowledging that it is time to "get stuck in".

The Glasgow Labour Party weren't going to hand over the city that they operate as a fiefdom.

If the SNP ever hopes to make progress in Glasgow, they have to present a case of who is making the people suffer for the benefit of the few.

The Labour Council of shame.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says it is time to shine the spotlight on the ‘murky corridors' of Glasgow City Council's Labour administration.

Allegations are now surfacing of how Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell and the Labour Council of shame operated and it seems that Labour Party members, relatives and friends have benefited spectacularly well in terms of jobs, money and Council contracts.

Willie Haughey, Labour donor got £20 million of contracts.

Quangos set up with family members heading fronting them at Culture and Sport and City Building.

The City of Glasgow is run for the benefit of the Labour privileged few while the many suffer.

Nicola Sturgeon signalled the battle for Glasgow accusing Labour of a "culture of secrecy" and a "fear of transparency".

To win Glasgow from Labour, it won’t be Trident and it won’t be choo choo lines, it is the record and activities of the Labour controlled Council of shame that should be the centrepiece of the Glasgow SNP Campaign.

Another aspect of the Campaign should be telling the public exactly what they will get by having an SNP MP.

The Labour Party is there to be defeated but the attacks have to be meaningful and directed at the right place.

Labour outwitted the SNP in Glasgow North East and Glenrothes campaigning on devolved issues, the SNP in Glasgow should concentrate on Council issues.

Nicola Sturgeon said;

"Council functions have been hived off, one after another, to arms-length companies. Accountability to the citizens of Glasgow is virtually non-existent. It often seems like the interests of the few are given more importance than those of the people who provide and use the services of the council”.

The fight for Glasgow will be a nasty affair but it is a fight that the SNP have to engage in as hard as the Glasgow Labour Party.

Fighting hard against the Glasgow Labour Party is not just the only thing the SNP have to deal with, they have to radically change the way they operate in Glasgow.

The SNP need to adopt a change agenda which is long overdue but necessary to laid the building blocks to take the City of Glasgow and run it in the interests of the people.

Yours sincerely
