Glasgow's Labour Council of shame want to privatise the services of the City of Glasgow, their scorched earth policy is destroying the city

Dear All

One of the damning legacies of the ‘reign of hell’ by Labour Council of shame is the privatisation of Council services.

The Glasgow Labour Party selling out people and giving lucrative contracts to their friends in big business.

Rather than standing up for the community, the Glasgow Labour Party is keen to destroy infrastructure and put in place unaccountable private bodies that the people will have no input in.

It stinks.

The Labour Council of shame is in talks with a private company about taking over major services such as refuse collection, cleansing and the running of its civic parks.

The lie of the Glasgow Labour Party protecting jobs is exposed for what it is a fraud.

This is the first time frontline services in the city have been put out to the private sector which shows how scared the Labour Council of shame is about losing the city to the SNP.

The Labour Party is introducing a ‘scorched earth’ policy to ensure that any future SNP Administration has few levers of control.

As well as the above services going private, the Labour Council of shame is cutting jobs, closing schools and community centres.

Other parts of services run by the council are also earmarked to be hive off.

It seems that the Glasgow Labour Party is going to turn the city over to English based and controlled companies.

The process of privatisation was very much the legacy of Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell, the former leader of the council.

The unions have since voiced their disapproval at the plans to privatise the city both Unison and the GMB have spoken out.

Mike Kirby, national chairman and Glasgow organiser for Unison said;

“Where similar arrangements have been established in some areas of England there is clear evidence that the standard of service has been adversely affected.”

That won’t matter to the Glasgow Labour Party.

Martin Doran, head of the GMB at the council put it more bluntly with regard to what the Glasgow Labour Party are up to;

“It would appear these new working conditions introduced for LES in the last few months are designed to fail and provide a convenient excuse for outsourcing.”

It is only by voting SNP will Glasgow be saved, the Labour Party have ruled Glasgow as their fiefdom for nearly 80 years, they have drove the city into the ground.
The Westminster General Election is a good place to start to save our city from Labour.

A vote for the SNP will start Glasgow back on the road to rebuilding communities.

It is time to stand up against the Glasgow Labour Party’s ‘scorched earth’ policy.

Yours sincerely
