Why I left the Scottish Labour Party; too many negatives and negative people from the right wing of the Scottish Labour Party tipped the scales for me, after watching a Jordan Peterson video on negative people affecting your life, I asked myself a question, what value does Anas Sarwar's Labour Party give to me personally and professionally as a member, the answer is, there is no value, people also shouldn't have to put up with internal smears or being abused in the street while campaigning, especially when they do it for free

Dear All

First up, I am sorry for being away for a month longer than I had originally intended. Sometimes, you just need a real break away from everything to charge up your batteries. In the time that I have been off, and looking at the world, you could certainly make a few observations that politicians are bring about the decline of civilisation and of human rights right across the Western world.

The Afghanistan evac was a disaster, badly planned and badly executed. President Joe Biden is cognitively impaired and unfit to be President. He is therefore by default commander in chief of US armed forces and shouldn't be. If you want a daily dose of his failings, then youtube, Sky News Australia, they're very much up to the mark on this. The US evac was bungled by Biden, for one reason only. So that Biden could claim that he ended the Afghan war instead of Donald Trump. The price of claiming that title was people dying, some fell from airplanes, some died by machine fire, executed because they held a position in the Afghan administration. Afghanistan as  country will now be a country that isn't free or tolerant. One thing which to me ranks as a crime, is that the US left behind stockpiles of weapons that has equipped a terrorist organisation. The Taliban shouldn't be recognised as a government by the West but disturbing rumblings suggest it will. Incredibly the country fell to the Taliban, but the real people who will benefit appears to be the Chinese who will the principal partner of the Taliban. The West presumably wanting to get a slice of the vast minerals deposits of the country, is already starting to talk about 'aid' and relations. At some point, we will find out that like before Afghanistan will revert to being a terrorist training hub. 20 years of war, trillions spent, thousands of lives lost, and it was all for nothing.

In the local scene that is Scotland, the pact from hell that shows things can and could get worse has formally been finalised. The Scottish Greens have joined the SNP under Nicola Sturgeon in Government. Two Greens, Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater have now secured positions as government ministers. Their jobs, are nonsense, imagine turning up at a buffet and picking through the leftovers, that's what the Scottish Greens got as jobs. In return for being stooges, Nicola Sturgeon gains a majority, but given the Greens were puppets to the SNP anyway, people will be asking why let them into government. In the news, the 'official' reason was to say that there was now a majority for a second Scottish independence referendum. That is smoke and mirrors.

There is only one reason in my opinion why Nicola Sturgeon wants the Scottish Greens in Government and that is to pass the Gender Recognition Act. This allows men who claim they are women to access biological females safe spaces, toilets and changing rooms being the most obvious.

That is why the Scottish Greens are in power!

Nicola Sturgeon after she passes the Gender Recognition Act, will say, the passing was cross party, and by the will of parliament. So, she is placing as many buffers between her and the public as possible. This tactic isn't new, it was done by former Conservative PM David Cameron and the Lib Dems, in the next election following this, the Lib Dems were destroyed as a credible party. I suspect that Sturgeon and her handlers will push Patrick Harvie who has never won an election in the Scottish Parliament forward to have a prominent role in the run up to the Gender Recognition Act being passed. One thing to mention, for the most part, if you see Patrick Harvie fronting a position on any major issue, generally he is wrong. I debate him at Glasgow Skeptics in Glasgow during Brexit, he lost due to talking about an EU which didn't exist, and put forward the delusion of there would be change. The UK had 72 mjor attempts at chnging how the EU worked, the German/Franco coalition always voted them down, change was never possible. Five years laters, major parties such as the Labour Party are still 'remainer' parties, which is a reason why Keir Starmer will never be PM. The new agenda for the UK is Global UK trading all over the world, and that includes the EU, they need the UK to buy goods from them. If you are wondering, what is after Global UK, then what you have to look at is a pact, between the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANZUK_International

So, what is this, a mini EU, in a word, no, this trade block would have safeguards which the EU failed to adopt. While the proposals would allow freedom of movement it would not be absolute for everyone. One of the failures of the EU was freedom of movement, however this has no regulation which proved disastrous. In looking at why the EU failed as an organisation, you have to look at a bigger picture simply beyond that one policy. A short version is that the EU is anti worker and anti country, which fits in with their vision of a European Superstate, and a Euro army. I asked the question, the EU is a political organisation, why does it need an army? It needs an army for internal suppression of its citizens. If you check out the RT channel on youtube, you can see the breakdown of French society.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5maFVMYmGw

The suppression of people isn't just a French thing, you can see the breakdown in Australia as well, this next video may surprise you. Police fitting up innocent people,  and there is information coming out that the law has been used to stop people protesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiiJyfpuEsg

This is the decline of society.

So, that is a George Laird view on recent world events, but what about me, been off 3 months, what do I have to say about what I have been doing. First point I would make was having a rest, and I needed it. I am no longer a member of the Labour Party. I cancelled my membership, but I leave on a high having successfully been one of the few people to have actually got an MSP elected to Holyrood. I came across a video which really spoke to me about 'values' and my relationship with the party. So, I sat down and thought long and hard about what 'value' is there to me being a member of the Scottish Labour Party? I want you to watch this video and then read the feedback the Glasgow Local Campaign Forum of the Scottish Labour Party sent me after rejecting me as a candidate.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5ukKf4vi6g

"The LGC Assessment Panel had grave concerns regarding the applicant’s online persona and posts. It was noted in the Application Form that the Applicant had previously sought selection as a councillor and then stood against the Party when he was unsuccessful. He notes recently standing in direct opposition to the party again in 2019. While the recent account of campaigning is noted, there were several matters of concern in social media, included inappropriate comments and posts about current Party Leadership (dating from 2021) and also behaviour and comments inappropriate for someone seeking to represent the Party in an elected position."

So, bearing what Professor Jordan Peterson said, and reading the Scottish Labour Party feedback, do you think the Scottish Labour Party, now dubbed Anas Sarwar's Labour gives me any value in my life personally or professionally? I think anyone who wishes to better themselves in life would say no.

There is quite a lot in this feedback, it is reads to me as;

1/ 'We don't like your face'.

2/ 'We don't like you exercising free speech.

3/ 'We don't like you trying to better yourself'.

4/ 'We don't like you have principles'.

I was offered an option to resubmit my application, but given what was said and other feedback, the offer to me appeared to be not genuine. I asked for feedback on what specifically they didn't like. I was told by email:

"the LGC are under no duty or obligation to provide any further explanation to you beyond the feedback form".

We are going to fail you but we are not going to tell you why.

Needless to say, I didn't resubmit my application. One of their objections was I left the party in 2019, I did the Brexit Party campaign, I was headhunted to do this. I played a major role in that campaign, and got the first black lgbt man elected to the European Parliament. This was seen as a valid reason for Scottish Labour punishing me. Scottish Labour has never accepted me as a member, in fact I have wrote about some of the dirty tricks they pulled on me as a member in the past usually done by people connected to the right wing of the party. For example, former Labour MSP Johann Lamont promised me a ticket to the 2016 count in Glasgow then renege on her promise. This was a despicable act on the part of Johann Lamont, despite this, I kept campaigning for her even up to polling day.

And I have the Scottish Labour Party in 2021 questioning my integrity?

In 2016, I also campaigned for Brexit, so I have kept true to my principles. Another issue which the Scottish Labour Party Local Campaign Forum didn't like was me keeping my word to stand in the 2017 council election. As I know I am good enough to be a councillor, why should they hold it against me that as a  working class man, I should see to better myself? I was told that, my involvement in the 2019 European Election campaign was:

"a matter of political judgement, which placed you at odds with the Labour Party’s aims and Principles."

I certainly can agree on that statement, but I would add the Scottish Labour Party was wrong on Brexit in 2016. It was wrong on Brexit 2019, and it is still wrong as a remainer party. Labour is seeking away back to the EU via a custom union or similar device. In politics, I was under the impression the goal was to better people's lives, not stick to party dogma. Scottish Labour is now fully controlled by the right wing, these are the same people who have led the party to the major of every election defeat since 2007. During the Richard Leonard leadership, they spent their time undermining him as party leader and did so openly. You can google about this online. The right wing of the Scottish Labour Party see themselves as 'managers' of the people instead of representatives, which is partly why the Scottish public has abandoned them as a party. I wrote many articles on why the Scottish Labour Party should change, this was a reason for rejecting me as a candidate. It seems in the party if you express a view that you can be punished for it and denied opportunities. I would have thought Anas Sarwar would want the party he leads to put first winning back Glasgow City Council over internal pettiness of people saying they don't like my opinions. In fact, my opinions were so heinous I was never contact or disciplined for having them, which meant they didn't break party rules. In the final analyse leaving a party which offers me nothing was not a hard decision. It was a calm rationale decision based on factual evidence provided in part by the Local Campaign Forum. You may remember my many articles of root and branch reform, at every level. If you cannot advance through merit as a working class man in a working class party controlled by the middle class, you really have to move on.

Finally, I will probably be standing in the 2022 election, in a wider point, don't feel sorry for me, instead take the advice of Jordan Petersen, learn to cut negative people out of your life, and strive to make forward progress. I did that with Anas Sarwar's Labour because it was the best decision for me as a working class person. The picture at the top is an email sent to a current MSP who stood as a candidate for the Glasgow regional list. The name of the concerned citizen is fake and was hidden behind a vpn. I didn't go public that I was doing this campaign at the time because I didn't rate it in the same way as normal campaigns, so only people inside Scottish Labour knew about me campaigning and for whom. Sadly for my wannabe smearer, the candidate knew 100% that this was untrue.

Yours sincerely

George Laird                                                                                                                                The Campaign for Human Rights at Glasgow University

Great to have you back George... I take it all this stuff in the paper about Nicky Nick having Indyref2 by the end of 2023 is nonsense?

Dear Mr Laird

It so good to have you back. You have been, and continue to be, an education about truth and understanding political realities. Without you explaining across the years I would have been taken in by sleight-of-hand, spin, lies and "Oh look there's a squirrel".

Now I try to ask questions of events/statements - Why?/Who benefits (Cuio Bono)?/Why now?/deflection or double-down?/What is the moral dimension: Missing or there? and so on.

This, as well as you being a decent human-being whose is great to read, is why its good to have you back.

Wishing health, wealth and prosperity.

An admirer.
