Steven 'bin laden' Purcell creeps back to Glasgow for interview with Strathclyde Police about drugs and corruption, has he gave up his drugs contacts?

Dear All

He’s back!

But this time, the cocaine is nowhere to be seen, yes, Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell has returned to be interviewed by the police.

Purcell has been living in both Australia and the Irish Republic waiting for the heat to die down.

The former head of the Labour Council of shame was not detained or charged and had his lawyer, Robert Vaughan with him.

No surprise there then.

A Labour source described the meeting to detectives in these terms, Purcell told them, “two-thirds of nothing”.

After the interview, it is believed that ‘bin laden’ left the city immediately for the Irish Republic.

A Police source said;

“He contacted the force and asked to come in by arrangement. It seems essentially to have been about what’s already been out there in the public domain, stuff about the contracts and drug use etc. He wasn’t charged or detained so there was no need to monitor where he’s staying right now.”

This toe in the water is possibly the start of Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell’s return to Glasgow but he is effectively a pariah now that the new regime of Gordon ‘free dinners’ Matheson has been installed.

Matheson won’t want the ‘Prince of Powder’ back, too much baggage and trying to sell Purcell as a victim won’t wash.

Other Glasgow Labour Councillors of shame have also been questioned as the Strathclyde Police Major Crimes Unit is now involved.

Labour councillor Ruth Black has been questioned on the ‘Prince of Powder’s’ drug use.

And then there is the matter of a £50,000 grant the council had provided for a new drop-in centre for gays and lesbians that she has set up.

Labour Councillor of shame Euan McLeod for Shettleston has also been questioned.

There is still no independent investigation of how jobs and contracts have been awarded to Labour Party members, relatives, friends and Labour donors.

Leader of the council’s SNP group, James Dornan, said;

“I’m delighted that Steven Purcell has at last surfaced to answer the many questions the police must have since his disappearance. He has a duty to tell all he knows about any criminality or wrongdoing regarding himself or other parties. Hopefully the full truth of what has been going on in the council will begin to surface.”

So, will Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell give up his drugs contacts?

I am sure everyone will be keen to know, including his suppliers!

Yours sincerely

  1. ohh what joys the druggie has returned, no doubt to pick up his fix.
    Would love to have been a fly on the wall at that police interview.
    The fact that he has again flew the coup makes you wonder what he really knows and what he has said.
    The fact that he has indeed got himself a new lawyer would indicate that not all is well with him and his legal team...thjey all know he is as guilty as sin, and no lawyer worth his salt would deal with a man who has professed his guilt, not even mitigation circumstances can get purcell out of this one, but then again any court case would probably be told he was a "victim", yeah bloddy right, a victim of his own making and downfall.

    can anyone who comes on here please explain to me why a councillor who has been subject to very seriuous allegations and investigations, still able to hold office down in the slums of the chambers.
    I hear that not many people are happy that the person concerned is still able to mince about the chambers with bags load of the stuff....send in the sniffer dogs i say, then see them all come out the woodwork
