Britain breathes as madman Gordon Brown resigns, the chance of Labour/Lib Dem deal has currency again, buyers market for Lib Dems though

Dear All

Gordon Brown is stepping down as Labour Party leader.

The most petty, mean spirited individual ever to hold the Office of Prime Minister has finally done the right thing.

Resign.

Now, the fight to take his place starts.

It was rumoured over the weekend that Brown would go as sources told me that Brown had returned to Fife.

Now, the Labour Party can open formal talks with the Lib Dems about forming a government.

This wasn’t possible with a deranged madman at the helm.

Although Brown is stepping down as leader, he is not endorsing anyone.

He said;

"I will play no part in that contest; I will back no individual candidate."

Brown's statement will be seen as a move towards political reality smoothing the way to a deal between Labour and the Liberal Democrats.

But will the Lib Dems shift?

They are already discussing place cards at the table with the Tories.

So, now Brown is standing down, will there be a by-election?

If Labour and the Lib Dems do a deal and join forces, they would still not have an overall majority.

The prospect for a rerun of this election is looking more a possibility as time goes on.

The key is the Lib Dems, they have already got one of their demands through.

The removal of an out and out nutcase!

Next up, can they get the Labour Party to back PR?

Good day today, the removal of a man of consummate evil has been achieved.

For the Tories, Brown’s resignation will put further pressure on them to bend.

So, the question for Cameron, how far will he go to secure power?

We will know soon enough.

Gordon Brown was no leader of men!

Yours sincerely
