Dear All
It seems that Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First
Minister Nicola Sturgeon has decided to try comedy.
Is this because her angry wee Nat routine
has panned?
Sturgeon says that the UK Government is
trying to 'bully' Scotland into voting against independence by ruling
out a formal currency union.
No, the UK Government is protecting itself
first and foremost, it therefore cannot be regarding as ‘bullying’.
Sturgeon says that Chancellor George
Osborne is going to reject any deal that would allow Scotland to leave the UK
and keep the pound.
That decision is not his but is firmly with
David Cameron; Osborne can chip his ten cents worth in.
Is it a campaign tactic or a realisation that
Westminster wants to solve problems rather than get a pile more place on top of
them as the Nationalists would have a series of running arguments with them for
political advantage.
The debacle of not planning for a Scottish
currency rather shows that Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon aren’t very bright.
A Treasury report has said:
"In the event of Scottish
independence, the economic rationale for the continuing UK to enter a formal
sterling union with another state is not clear.''
This has now been upped to Osborne ruling
out any such arrangement if there is a Yes vote in the referendum.
That is expected and hardly a surprise.
But it must be a surprise to the simple
minded folk in the SNP.
Osborne, his Labour shadow Ed Balls and
Liberal Democrat Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander are all set to
rule out a currency union with an independent Scotland.
This leads Salmond and Sturgeon well
adrift, now they have to explain what the currency will be.
Sturgeon said:
People won't take kindly on the Westminster
establishment ganging up to bully Scotland in the decision we're being asked to
take on the referendum”.
I think that Sturgeon is the wrong person to
talk about bullying given her recent ravings about trying to bully Cameron into
a debate with Salmond.
So, who are the people she is talking about
who won’t take ‘kindly’?
Her and Salmond’s packs of trash who are
seeing independence slip through their fingers as support continues to drift
away, they lost the argument, they lost the people, they lost goodwill and will
lose the vote.
In a comic touch she said on BBC Radio
Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme that the “Westminster establishment
trying to gang up on Scotland because they see it in the polls that they are
losing the argument."
Not only did Westminster win the argument,
they won the battle, the war ended a long time ago, it is just the demented
holding out like a Japanese soldier hiding in the jungle after WW2.
The war is over!
Sturgeon went on to say that it would be
"absurd" for UK politicians to reject a currency union.
Only the fear is dripping out of her like
sweat now!
In a typical angry wee Nat fashion, she
also issued a threat about Scotland reneging on UK debt unless there is a ''sterling
zone'' with the rest of the UK.
How will Scotland have a good credit rating
if this was done?
Who would buy Scottish Government debt when
they cannot be trusted?
Bizarrely Sturgeon says:
“No matter what the No campaign, the
Westminster establishment, says now, the reality will be very, very different
if Scotland votes Yes”.
No, they won’t be, because in 2015, there
will be a General election at Westminster and no party will commit to a fiscal
union with Scotland in the event of independence.
Another thing worth mentioning which is important,
the SNP reneges on the debt, they won’t get any of the assets and that includes
military assets.
So, the SNP are playing stupid silly petty
games because they have no idea and no vision and are unwilling at this late
stage to plan for a Scottish currency.
Angry wee Nat Nicola Sturgeon has botched
it again, the stench of fear is literally dripping out onto the floor now, the
UK Government won’t be bounced into a sterling zone and also Scotland would
have no lender of last resort.
It looks increasingly likely that the SNP would
try and take Scotland into the Euro which would mean disaster.
As to plan B, Sturgeon said:
"I'm not going to be bullied out of
the right position for Scotland and the rest of the UK."
She isn’t being bullied, she is just being
ignored, ‘people don’t laugh at her because she is white; they laughed at her
because she is white on a mic’.
I cribbed that off a rapper.
Yours sincerely

They demanded answers. The SNP have been given another one and again the UK ain't dancing a jig. When the EU one comes in it will complete. "Everybuddys against us". Is the cry. Fact is they fecked the whole thing up.
ReplyDeleteSpot on, George. Nicola Sturgeon’s idea that after a ‘Yes’ vote somehow Osborne and Balls will suddenly change their tune is mind-meltingly stupid - for the simple reason that if either of them backtracked on this, they would lose their seats at the general election.
ReplyDeleteAll this just confirms what I have believed for many, many years: that Mr Salmond, Ms Sturgeon, and everyone else in the SNP, not only have no grip on reality, but are as thick as pigshit.
