Scottish independence: SNP set to over-estimate value of North Sea oil in massive cover up after Swinney Report, they can’t afford pensions, welfare or pay for services to protect the vulnerable, deception on industrial scale!

After the Swinney Report was leaked that the SNP Ministers can’t pay for public services without severe cuts, job losses and austerity beyond belief, the SNP are set to over-estimate value of North Sea oil.

Can things sink any lower than they are present for Alex Salmopnd and Nicola Sturgeon as they struggle to try and re-invent their ‘Scottish’ independence campaign?

Oh yes!

In politics, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is the ‘gold standard’.

However you can’t sell and pass off ‘fool’s gold’ and expect to be taken seriously.

Over-estimate the value of oil to an independent Scotland is a stupid move that strikes at the heart of credibility.

Can you imagine how the scenario and mentality of the idiot that came up with this strategy, ‘we will just keep saying everything is rosy after indy, indy solved everything’.

Clowns!

You can't say one thing in private and another to the public.

By blowing their credibility on Oil, the SNP will need more that Red Adair to ‘cap’ this gusher, they have also draw attention to the SNP’s sole main asset which is volatile in price, and which they are hanging the whole campaign on.

Scotland’d Oil used the SNP previously wasn’t a great campaign in a real sense, to try and resurrect it again from the late 1970’s, what a joke. In the Glasgow Council Election, the SNP used old Glasgow slogan’s such as ‘Glasgow is miles better’.

No talent in this independence campaign, not even a barrel full, the well’s tapped out.

Last week, a leaked paper by John Swinney, the finance minister, questioned the affordability of state pensions and welfare after independence, He warned that the country’s finances would be at the mercy of volatile oil prices.

It was the first bit of real truth facts to emerge from the Yes Campaign, previously everything in the campaign was built on sand, a slight push and it would fall over.

Another key aspect of that report was the accepting of forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility predicting declining oil revenues in the near future.

That’s a problem, a major problem, the spin campaign currently being used highlights a party in crisis, Scotland unpopular Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon should never have been put in charge of the independence campaign.

Alex Salmond is fat, Nicola Sturgeon is thick; together they are ‘Fat and Thick’ independence fighters!

Now, Mr Swinney is claimed that Scotland is on the cusp of another oil boom.

I would hope that Mr. Swinney steps back and keeps his integrity, Salmond and Sturgeon are sinking, there is no reason why he should allow his reputation to be pulled down with them.

Alistair Darling ridiculed the claims, saying:

“This week, after having civil servants burning the midnight oils all weekend, the nationalists will rush out a paper that will contradict the oil revenue projections that only a few days ago they were supporting. They continue to say one thing in private and another thing in public. This strikes at the heart of their credibility”.

He added:

“Their own fiscal commission told them not to over-estimate the value of oil in the long term, yet that is exactly what they are going to do. What happens if Alex Salmond is wrong? What happens if the price does fall? Oil is great for Scotland. However, we know that oil prices go up and down and that one day it will surely run out”.

But the real detonation came when he went further:

“The difference in tax revenues between the year when oil prices were at their highest and the year that they were at their lowest was almost pounds12 billion. This is more than the entire Scottish NHS budget”.

Ken Macintosh, Scottish Labour’s finance spokesman, said the SNP was being "utterly reckless” with Scotland's future by “asking us to gamble on oil and won't even be honest with us about the choice we face”.

He added:

“We know that oil is a volatile commodity and the very fact we are arguing over the strength of the independent forecasts just proves how uncertain our future would be if we based our economy on oil.”

Alex Salmond is an opportunist, he relies on the ability of others to do the work and then attaches himself to their success; he is a lightweight politician despite his increasing waistline.

Today is another very bad day in the Scottish independence campaign for Salmond and Sturgeon, the tactic of using the ‘big lie’ isn’t new in politics, it isn’t even interesting for those observing the events.

Perhaps someone should be put on ‘curry duty’; so that Alex Salmond can be silenced for a while, he is leading the SNP and Yes Scotland to utter disaster.

I wonder who will get the best pic of his face when the independence defeat is announced, hopefully he will step down as SNP leader quickly and take Nicola Sturgeon with him, and the SNP is counting down the days to obscurity.

Nicola Sturgeon’s task is to lead the SNP into the political desert, not for oil, but to die.
