Here is a laugh; Shadow Scottish Secretary David Mundell has backed the idea of cabinet jobs being given to the Lib Dems.
Since when did anyone in London Tory HQ give a toss about what Mundell thinks?
He is the forgotten man of Tory politics, given a title because there was no one else willing to fill it.
As Scotland's only Tory MP said he would "not have an issue" with any specific posts being given to the other party.
What about his post?
Let us not kid ourselves; he wants the wedge and the perks.
In an attempt to appear statesmanlike in a cheap suit, he says it was more important to have an arrangement to ensure a period of stable government.
Why not stable government all the time?
As the lone Tory in Scotland representing Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale, he might be thinking he can get a Cabinet job if he angles it right.
The Tories have 306 seats across the UK, are negotiating with the Lib Dems in a bid to form the new government with an overall majority in the Westminster parliament.
So, will the Lib Dems walk away from PR?
I am beginning to think they will shelf this for the time being by letting it be farmed out to a cross party Commons Committee to be looked at in the future.
SNP Westminster leader Angus Robertson opines that a deal between the Tories and the Liberal Democrats was the "worst option for Scotland".
But good for the SNP, Labour can be shown to be toothless tigers like the ‘feeble fifty’ Labour MPs were under Thatcher.
With the Labour Party marginalised, the SNP Government can take centre stage in fighting for Scotland.
Every cut by English MPs to the Scottish budget will be a rallying cry to boost independence.
One thing people of Scotland learned last Thursday in Scotland is this, Vote Labour get Tory, Vote Tory get Tory.
England decided to go Tory no matter what Scotland wished.
The people of Scotland thought they were voting for protection, in reality, they voted to remove that Scottish protection.
At a local and level, people will have to turn to the SNP again for help.
