SNP Candidate Pete Wishart gets unexpected boost to his Westminster campaign as Tory Peter Lyburn is caught out in deception of the public

Dear All

Some people shoot themselves in the foot during their political campaign.

And most of the gaffes are preventable with a little thought.

The Tories are standing in Scotland.

I know but what can you do, it’s a free election.

Luckily most of them will get panned.

Hip hip hooray!!!!

So, now to a major Tory gaffe, we now have the spectacle of a Conservative candidate Peter Lyburn having to apologise to business leaders in Perth after he used their names to condemn Labour tax plans without permission.

This is deception!

Peter Lyburn, Tory candidate for Perth and North Perthshire thought it was okay to listed 15 names in an open letter attacking Labour's proposed 1% rise in National Insurance.

Trouble is; some of the people didn’t give consent.

Was this preventable?

Absolutely and it shows a startling lack of commonsense on the part of Peter Lyburn.

Paul Shields, president of the Perthshire Chambers of Commerce has denied being asked to sign the letter and said that the Chamber of Commerce was a cross-party group and that his political views were private.

So, as well deception, Peter Lyburn has in a short space of time managed to generate an incredible amount of ill will.

I would like to ask him, what were the processes that he thought this type of behaviour was a good idea?

This should help the SNP Candidate Pete Wishart get re-elected as obviously trust will figure on the political horizon.

And Peter Lyburn is unworthy of it.

Yours sincerely
