Ryan James speaks out against the Steven 'bin laden Purcell and Labour Council of shame's record on alcohol pricing and safety in Glasgow

Dear All

Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell and the Labour Council of shame run the City of Glasgow.

Run it into the ground, there is no effective Labour leadership just a load of dumplings, doing their ‘best’ and that isn’t good enough by a long chalk.

The new chair of Glasgow Restaurateurs’ Association says the city reminds him of Guernica – Picasso’s violent painting of a war-ravaged Spanish village.

Having looked at the painting he has a point.

Ryan James runs and owns the Two Fat Ladies group and he is disturbed by the number of young drunken hooligans flooding the city centre at weekends.

The Labour Party like to given impression that everything is arty café culture, the difference between that and Europe is that in Glasgow you have to avoid the puke on the streets!

James said;

“In Glasgow on a Saturday night you’d think you were in Guernica, and not part of the European cafe culture society. Young people turn up drunk because they’ve bought ridiculously cheap alcohol in shops and supermarkets and consumed it before coming in to town”.

This would change if the Labour Party would back a minimum price for alcohol but Labour isn’t interest in changing the status quo.

They would rather give up the streets to roving band of savages running wild through the city centre with The Police picking up the fallout from their passing.

A spokesman for the licensing board said;

“We recognise alcohol misuse is a serious problem and we are committed to working with other stakeholders to try to tackle the social problems associated with alcohol misuse”.

Over a hundred years of Labour Party control of the City of Glasgow and each year they still get it wrong.

Can’t sort out a serious problem!

The people of Glasgow really need to demand better, at the weekends, once darkness falls, it isn’t a place for families.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said;

“While we have never said minimum pricing is a ‘silver bullet’, there is a growing consensus it can be a key weapon in the battle against alcohol misuse. The Glasgow Restaurateurs’ Association’s support adds to a growing coalition in favour of minimum pricing for alcohol.”

Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell needs to be part of the ‘coalition of the willing’ instead of propping himself against the Station Bar in Yoker.

He probably thinks 'culture' is ordering a curry after being in the pub.

Prawn crackers anyone?

Yours sincerely
