Labour Candidate William Bain, do you know the Law?

Dear All

One of themes that I have highlighted in the Glasgow North East by-election is that Labour Candidate William Bain is a crackpot.

Some people might not wish to use this word preferring to use the word ‘rocket’ but whatever version you would wish to use, the boy isn’t firing on all cylinders upstairs.

Such is the state of his flagging English run campaign that he is now doing retreads of previous posts on his website.

But he is changing the name of person he is asking to explain the same things, in this case twice.

So what is he babbling on about now?

Inheritance tax!

Willie Bain has called on senior Conservative MP Oliver Letwin to explain to the people of Glasgow why they would cut inheritance tax for the country’s 3,000 richest estates.

You may remember that George Osborne stood up and said he would increase inheritance tax in a speech; such was the effect of the good publicity that Labour bottled it and jumped on the bandwagon immediately.

William Bain said;

"As a local man born and bred in Springburn I would like to ask Oliver Letwin to explain just why they think a £200,000 tax cut to the 3,000 wealthiest estates would be beneficial to the people of Glasgow”.

What does being born and bred in Springburn have to do with the price of fish, it’s irrelevant to the question. If he is so concerned why doesn’t he send him an email?

At this stage Bain loses the plot;

"Just how many people here would benefit from that plan?”

Since they don’t have access to the tax records for Glasgow; they couldn’t answer the question without committing illegal acts.

Bain added;

“They have refused to answer that question in Glasgow”.

Since Bain is a Law Lecturer, he would know the Tories would have to commit breaking and entering, misuse of computer act, breach of the Data Protection Act and conspiracy to action his request, all illegal acts.

Bain further commented;

“We hear a deafening silence”.

Probably because they think the same as me that Bain isn’t right in the head!

Who enters a dialogue with a crackpot?

William Bain would do better if he wasn’t asking daft questions but maybe his USP to the public is that he is bonkers.

Born, bred and bonkers!

Doesn’t sound ideal for standing for election in Springburn!

Yours sincerely
