Scottish independence: the SNP have secret plans to cut spending, destroy services and leave Scotland in a worst state, John Swinney’s leaked report shows how Alex Salmond and the SNP Cabinet can’t be trusted at any level

Dear All

If you are a working class SNP member waking up this morning, you have an indyfact to lodge in your brain.

You have been conned.

The SNP government is privately preparing for the prospect of cuts to jobs, welfare benefits and pensions after independence.

The SNP is run as a party within a party; the leaked document is proof that once again George Laird is right again.

I realised about January 2012 that the SNP wasn’t a party that I was willing to support anymore because they can’t be trusted.

Scotland faces a bleak economic future, a leaked document has shown, some reasons spring to mind, firstly public sector reform was never done, because the SNP Government is genuinely talentless and in the wider picture, nothing was done to prepare the country for independence.

I believe strongly in an independent Scotland, but that isn’t a blank cheque, the people come first, although Alex Salmond uses that lie as a punch line when he takes the oath at Holyrood, to me, it actually means something.

Where is Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon in cancer sufferer Anne Fisher most desperate hour?

They don’t care, they left her in the lurch just like they left Joyce Juszczak, she nearly died of a blood clot because Nicola Sturgeon wouldn’t help her, even after a photo op.

In politics, you can fool some of the people all of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all the time.

And the SNP have played the people of Scotland as fools, particularly the working class people of Scotland.

The leaked document shows that Ministers in Edinburgh have also accepted the Bank of England in London would still have a controlling veto over public spending after independence.

This is under the SNP’s plans to keep the pound.

Didn’t George Laird say plan for a Scottish Pound?

Yes, I was right then and I am right now.

The emergence of the report is a major disaster for Alex Salmond, it shows that in public, he will say anything to get a Yes vote, but in private, they are planning to rip Scotland apart internally.

Scottish Cabinet read this report by finance secretary John Swinney, and everyone of them kept quiet, so their integrity for standing up for Scots can be questioned, the SNP stands up only for the SNP, that is how the party operates.

To add to the agony,a former economic adviser to First Minister Alex Salmond warns under the SNP plans there would be little different to the existing “block grant” Scotland gets from Westminster.

Less rights and more risk!

In the Military spending front, the SNP is making all kinds of statements about saving this, that and the next thing, but it is also unlikely spending would rise much above the current level in Scotland.

SNP constantly complain that Scotland does not get a fair deal, under their criteria; they would be denying Scotland a fair deal as well.

For the opposition parties, this is Xmas and New Year all over again, they immediately accused SNP ministers of saying “one thing in private and another in public.”

The bottom line by Swinney is that expected North Sea revenues are set to fall in light of recently revised estimates.

The report says:

“Given the relative importance of North Sea revenues to Scotland’s public finances, these downwards revisions have resulted in a deterioration in the outlook for Scotland’s public finances.”

And this is John Swinney, arguable the best of the SNP Ministers at present, he sees the problems, Salmond and Sturgeon have a lot of explaining not just to Scotland but also to their working class members who they have effectively conned.

Swinney added:

“This high level of volatility creates considerable uncertainty in projecting forward Scotland’s fiscal position. This would, on present assumptions about onshore tax revenues, require some downward revision in current spending.”

That is major cuts to the ordinary punter in the street.

This is likely to hit services like a hurricane, destroying services and reducing the resources available to provide additional public services.
No reserves to draw on.

Professor John Kay, a former member of Mr Salmond’s Council of Economic Advisers says that it is “hard to imagine RUK [the rest of the UK] countenancing either deficit or debt levels in Scotland significantly in excess of those for the UK.”

So, no reserves and no fallback position, George Laird right again about the lack of talent in the SNP?

Well, since everything I say always turns out as I say, it is hard to see anyone falling now for Salmond’s rhetoric anymore.

Former chancellor Alistair Darling, who now heads the pro-Union Better Together campaign, said the paper was a “hammer blow” to the SNP’s credibility.

Labour leader Johann Lamont said:

“John Swinney and his colleagues know the truth about the consequences of Scotland leaving the UK in public they deny them.”

In 2014, I will be voting no to independence because independence is all about enhancing the lives of the people of Scotland, the SNP has shown that they are utterly incompetent, devious, malicious and untrustworthy.

The leaked report of John Swinney is arguably the first bit of real truth to emerge from the SNP.

I believe in an independent Scotland, I don’t believe in Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon, they have lost my trust, my support and my vote.

Yours sincerely

George Laird

  2. Bit by bit, piece by piece the sham is unfolding. This is the most right wing Government Scotland has seen in centuries. That includes Thatcher. Liars and cheats.
