Changing face of Europe: German politician Frauke Petry says migrants should be shot at border if they’re trying to enter country illegally, the mood in Europe is turning ‘anti migrant’, will soon be ‘anti-politician’ of the current political establishment, the move to the far right seems to be unstoppable

Dear All

It seems that the rise of the far right across Europe may not be as farfetched as some people think.

The attitude to the migrant crisis is hardening and deepening, not unexpected given what has happened re Paris and Cologne.

Politicians have gone from migrants welcome to migrants should be killed at the border, the leader of a right-wing party in Germany; Frauke Petry is tapping into a mood which is growing among ordinary Germans.

Frauke Petry is the principal speaker for Alternative für Deutschland - Alternative for Germany, her view that Police have guns and should shoot first to secure the border has seen support for her party increase in recent months.

AfD was formed in 2013 and was initially profiling itself as a party for Eurosceptics, it seems that the discontent about how the European Union operates isn’t just confined to Member States such as Britain.  When Angela Merkel declared open borders, she did the most damage to European cohesion in living memory. The Germans has since alienated themselves by trying to force a quota system on other European countries which some will reject out of hand. Merkel thought she could ‘share’ the problem with others only to find a hard line stance being taken by others such as Poland and Hungary.

Frauke Petry is said to be the de facto party leader of AfD, she doesn’t look the image of the Neo Nazis thug; she is a mother of four who is starting to capture the imagination of the German nation with her anti-immigrant agenda.

This is helped by her vocal critique of Merkel's migration policies which have been a disaster for Germany and Europe, will the AfD become a Pegida party, well given the strength of feeling, it looks highly likely. The Pegida movement isn’t just made up of skinheads; it is made up of ordinary run of the mill Germans.

On Saturday, Ms Petry told a German newspaper that a border police officer 'must stop illegal border crossings, and also make use of his firearm if necessary.'

She added that:

'no policeman wants to fire on a refugee and I don't want that either. But the last resort includes the use of armed force.'

As I said right from the start, the civil authorities cannot cope; the sensible way forward to secure the borders must be done by the military.  Why the military because they are better suited to large scale conflict and are better trained.

Germany saw nearly 1.1 million asylum-seekers enter the country last year alone, this will not stop, sooner or later, the people of Germany will be in open revolt, this will see the end of Merkel and usher in a new German Government which will start the process of mass deportation, to do so they will setup camps and all the migrants will be rounded up. This is the way it was always going to end, and with that process beginning, we will see violence in Europe spread.

11 per cent of the German population would vote AfD, if measures aren’t taken to sort the problems of the migrants then the vote of AfD will increase and it will also see the fortunes of Merkel’s party plunge.

In response to the threat posed by AfD, the German establishment has closed ranks, circling the wagons; the ‘shoot to kill’ policy by Frauke Petry has been widely condemned both by politicians and the Police.

They are trying to seize back the political agenda from AfD, but they are swimming against the tide of public opinion, it isn’t just the migrants that AfD is coming after, they will end up wanting the people responsible for this situation in the political arena. The German Police are understandably unhappy with Frauke Petry’s suggestion, Joerg Radek, vice-chairman of the GdP police union said:

'Whoever proposes such a radical approach apparently wants to overturn the rule of law and exploit the police.'

Angela Merkel's second in command, Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel wants AfD to be put under observation by the government agency that tracks extremists. I think this is already happening, so this announcement by him is a political manoeuvre to scare off Germans supporting them by tagging them with a label, in this case, extremists. Vice Chancellor Gabriel told the press that 'there is massive doubt that (the Alternative for Germany party) stand by the free democratic order of the republic.'

Well perhaps Sigmar Gabriel can point to the vote that allowed Merkel to fundamental change the makeup of Germany with a vote.

Was this a manifesto promise?

Where was the democracy in Merkel’s actions?

Across the border in neighbouring Austria, they have announced they will step up deportations of migrants, guns slaes in Austria are through the roof as people arm themselves for what is coming. The Austrians have added Morocco, Algeria and other states to a list of countries it deems safe to send people back quickly.

It could be that the way things are going the EU will start to see the breakup of the Union, those deported will simply comeback; the only way to stop this is a fortress Europe policy.

Do you know what the purpose of the State is?

The purpose of the State is to use violence to secure the safety of the country, which is why they have a military; and why the military are trained in lethal force. It seems that Germany is changing, but we should remember this attitude will be spreading right across Europe.

Finally, you can’t have failed to notice that far right gangs are beating up migrant children, this will continue until such time as killing becomes top of the agenda.

Things have a habit of spiralling out of control.

Yours sincerely

  2. Been saying it for ages George it's all going to hell in a handbasket. Won't take much for the far right parties to get a bloc of seats and hold the balance of power, they may not actually get power but it might force the European establishment to take stronger action.

  3. Hi Freddy

If things get worse, they may hold more than the balance of power, they might get government down the line.

  5. What is astonishing is how Angela Merkel was allowed to decide the Foreign and Immigration policy of the EU last summer.

I don't recall ANY consultation with any other EU nation.

Where were our Foreign Office when Merkel 'invited' all these 'refugees' to Europe?

Nowhere to be seen, or heard.

Now we face as the weather improves, yet more 'refugees' appearing, its going to get a lot worse, before (and if)it ever gets better...
