Migrant crisis leading to Fortress Europe?: European Council President Donald Tusk wants to detain all refugees arriving in Europe for security checks, these people must be put into camps without exception, eventually everyone comes round to the George Laird view; it just takes them a bit longer to get there, my ideas still ahead of the curve

Dear All

Eventually everyone comes round to the George Laird view, you will have noticed this many times on the blog where I have put forward ideas and then someone in a position of power comes to the same conclusion.

But I get there first.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, I wrote a blog post that the migrant crisis required drastic solutions. That post raised the issue that Migrants needed to be detained. On Thursday, November 19, 2015, I did another post fleshing out ideas which over the years I have been floating for EU Reform.

Here are some of the measures that I proposed:

1/ EU Border Force

2/ EU internal immigration policy for EU citizens

3/ intervention and mobilisation of the military in member states

4/ New EU wide ID card scheme

5/ No non EU economic migrant processed from this crisis and allowed to remain within an EU country which has accept them can travel to any other EU member state. Everyone should be completely documented, if a breach occurred; the person or group will be returned to the EU country they were settled and registered in.

I also stated that it was a matter of national security that there needed to be detention camps built, because this is a matter of national security which so far has been ignored by politicians seeking to enhance their profile of being 'caring'.

Now, the European Council President Donald Tusk has come to the George Laird view, detain all refugees arriving in Europe. He wants 18 months detention for tougher screening measures to address security risks.

He also added which I have blogged on many times that Angela Merkel’s open-door policy Is ‘dangerous’.

Angela Merkel after making a fool of herself is banking on a mandatory refugee-sharing regime to get her out of the hole she dug by her off the cuff statement that ‘everyone’s welcome’.

Across Europe ordinary people are now saying ‘no, they are not’, public confidence in EU governments’ ability to tackle the immigration crisis is ebbing away. They see no logical approach but just stare as chaos unfolds all around them.

The building of detention camps is a necessary first step because Syrians must be separated from the other nationalities using the confusion to slip into Europe. It is also known that Terrorists are hiding among the migrants; that is conservatively put at 2 in a 100 people.

Tusk also said:

“Syrians are only the 28-30% of the influx. Seventy per cent of them are [irregular] migrants. This is why we need more effective controls. It’s obvious.”

Whether this idea will get off the ground, along with my other previous ideas remains to be seen, however, the mandatory refugee-sharing quota is no solution. It is said that the EU needs to re-invent itself if it wishes to survive in some shape or form. Europe’s most powerful politician, Angela Merkel has done incredible damage in Europe by her ill-judged comments, her threats and her bad policy making decisions.

Whether people like it or not, and some don’t, if the current situation is not dealt with, we place ourselves on the road to civil war, a clash of cultures. Yesterday I remarked on the situation in Sweden, 17 migrant centres burned down in two months, one in five people now supporting the far-right Swedish Democrat party who are anti-immigration.

This will dissent will grow as politicians continually refuse to listen to their people, there is a political vacuum in Europe, the longer it remains unaddressed the more it will pull people towards the far right.

If we value our freedom, our democracy and our way of life, we have to defend it, people speak of Fortress Europe, it may have to come to that, but that concept will keep gaining ground while action is piecemeal and ineffective.

When the backlash comes, it will see political parties swept away because people will decide that they have had their chance.

Let’s look at this, Merkel recently told the Bundestag (Parliament) that the survival of the EU’s free-travel Schengen area hinged on whether national governments could agree on a permanent new regime of sharing refugees.

Schengen is dead, it will remain so why the borders aren’t secure, do you see how out of touch Merkel is, she doesn’t get it, she doesn’t understand the problems and she isn’t part of the solution.

Which is why Europe will become dangerous, violence isn’t just around the corner, it is already here. Yesterday Greece has asked for EU help in managing its borders, as thousands of migrants remain stuck on its northern frontier with Macedonia.

See my idea number 1, the new EU border Force, it would contain both military and civilian aspects to deal with situations like this, and someone has to deal with it.

Yours sincerely

  3. Hi s

I have no problem with genuine refugees properly vetted, but the bulk of these people aren't genuine.

  4. Hi Freddy

The EU is exactly like a supper tanker in nature, very slow to do the right thing.

Which is why reform is needed as I keep saying.

  5. Just seen this comment on Craig Murray's blog, and it confirms that people will blame Westminster for everything:

"We in Scotland are about to get another English cop to lord it over us to replace House...."

Erm, he is selected by the current SCOTTISH government, current incumbent SNP.

It appears that some people do not understand the problem of immigration. Let's invite everyone over from Syria, because of course none of them are terrorists. However, if you are English then you can fuck off (unless you are an SNP MP or MSP of course).

FFS I really do wonder at some people.

  6. Without trying appear to be spamming, George. Apologies but I could not let this one by from Newsnet:

"Let. Isis do what ever they like it is none of our business we have enough problems of our own right here and now fighting for our freedom from those mad men in Westminster who seem to want justice for everyone except the People of Scotland".

In other words, the SNP's form of isolationism, where you open the borders and let everyone in, but refuse to participate in world affairs, and least where Westminster is involved.

This is the sort of dangerous views that are creeping in to society, thanks to the SNP's blinkered view of the world.

I shudder to think what would have happened if the Yes had prevailed. Salmond (as he would now be the Presidential Dear Leader) would have opposed any action taken by the other Western powers.
