Dear All
Time for a quote from Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex
Salmond:
“The rocks will melt with the sun before I allow tuition
fees to be imposed on Scottish students.”
Time for another quote:
“if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well”.
The Scottish National Party in Government are incompetent,
we all know that, it is now secret, they scream about ‘Scottishness’, they
scream its all the fault of the English under the guise of Westminster, but the
facts speak for themselves.
Student debt in Scotland now stands at £2.7 billion.
Yes, after embracing middle class welfare-ism to create vote
caches, Scottish Students are paying the price on the other end.
Education isn’t free!
Education is paid for by the taxpayer, it always was, the
problems are many and the solutions to fix problems in higher education don’t
exist. No one has the bottle to tackle the problem, so the problem just keeps
growing and growing and growing.
Sometime ago I said Scotland needed a new education model,
four tier education which would be made up of Universities, Colleges, Community
colleges and schools. The University sector would be shrunk down, Colleges
expanded, new Community Colleges run out of schools and regular schools as we
all know about would continue as is.
Yes, as far back as 2011 just doing a quick google, I was
spouting about change, its 2015 now and no real change has been done, no
radical thinking, no problems solved, just a chunk of stone lying in
Heriot-Watt University to massage Alex salmond’s ego.
Costing a miserable £80!
I have said repeatedly that unpopular Nicola Sturgeon is not
the person able to take Scotland forward, £2.7 billion in student debt proves
this point yet again. Nicola Sturgeon has a legacy, its broken promises,
deception, incompetence and being utterly devoid of original thought.
She is just a co-pilot trying to make out she is a leader of
men.
Nicola Sturgeon has allowed grants and bursaries to be slashed
in recent years, this act along with many others is putting up barriers so that
poor working class kids can’t even consider going to university.
Nicola Sturgeon has pulled the ladder up from poor kids who
aspire to be better, who want a future but are being trapped in the past
because of Sturgeon’s dogma on independence. Scottish independence has been
lost for a generation, the game is over, the battle fought and lost decisively.
All Sturgeon’s does is pay the blame game, an example,
moaning the package of support students in Scotland receive is the best
anywhere in the UK.
Apples and Oranges, you can’t compare, but you can look at
her record, and it is appalling.
The Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) published figures
which showed £64.9 million in bursaries and grants were awarded in 2013-14.
You look at that figure and you might think, that is a lot
of money, but when it breaks down to ground floor, the grant has been cut by
almost 30 per cent.
30 per cent which forces students to get part time jobs and
takes valuable time away from studying, the better the degree, the better the
chance of employment.
The poorest Scottish students are suffering, they are losing
their future each day the SNP remains in Government doing nothing to address
the problems.
Poor Scots kids already suffer discrimination in education,
we have seen several SNP Ministers who have turned out to be utter duds, they
collect the pay; they don’t deliver the goods, Hyslop, Russell and now
Constance, all vacuous people who have risen to positions which they can’t cope
with.
When will Nicola Sturgeon fix her own self-created problems,
not anytime soon, she does gimmicks, she does selfies, she does staged managed
events but one day people in Scotland will catch on, and then she will get rude
wake-up call from the Scottish public.
Someone needs to tell her… do the job you are paid for!
Yours sincerely
George Laird

Anyone see Angela Constance making a right arse of herself on tv, by saying this is 20, 015 instead of 2015.
ReplyDeleteAs someone with children, I can comment from first hand experience. When I was at primary school, I learned the times tables by rote. That was changed in favour of more "progressive" teaching methods. The teachers are dedicated, but hamstrung by stupid bloody politicians. People criticise the Labour-Lib Dem pact, but they didn't fuck up education (or health, or police). The SNP did.
ReplyDeleteITS abig bucket of FAIL Georgieboy
ReplyDeleteCant disagree George
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder why Scottish voters keep returning like Oliver Twist? (Please sir, I want some more!) Are they all masochists?
