Westminster 2015, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon fields a motley crew of non entities and lightweights of no substance, the Labour Party roll out big guns in the shape of Gordon Brown, in local news Glasgow SNP field trash such as odious Natalie McGarry as a candidate, time for a new barrel Nicola, the old one is scraped!

During the Better Together campaign, I was lucky to go see ex Prime Minister Gordon Brown give some of the most impressive speeches of the independence campaign.

The first one I attended was in the Saltmarket which was clearly a Labour run event where Gordon Brown demonstrated his knowledge across a range of subjects including Labour’s history of achievements, surprisingly his speech also contained a fair amount of humour which I wasn’t expecting, which is why when I had another opportunity, I went to hear a second speech.

The best speech of the independence campaign however I still say was done by George Galloway at the Spectator event in London. If you get the chance, go look it up, I put the content on the blog, however hearing it first hand conveys his power as an orator.

Other people who had impressive me on the public speaking front was Alistair Darling, all of these people had different styles but given their level in politics, they knew how to hold an audience. It isn’t just what you say but the way you impart to an audience. Gaps are just as important as what you want to say, it lets the audience go with the ebb and flow.

Clearly Gordon Brown stood out and as the old saying goes ‘you don’t leave your prized stallion out of the race’. Gordon Brown brings gravitas to politics in ways that are sadly lacking in the Scottish political pond.

Alex Salmond, Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ is seen as a force in Scottish politics?

Why?

It is simple, the rest of them are seen as dire, there is no depth to them; most of them are easily forgotten if you happened to remember their name; that is SNP politics, a drone class of unremarkable talentless people. Recently the unpopular First Minister Nicola Sturgeon put out a cry for help.

If you missed it, it was she needed ‘help’ from other people in her party to come up with policies, this is passed out as her ‘listening’ but the reality is the Alex Salmond Party (SNP) is utterly shallow even with her at the helm.

Do you remember the two big policies of this Holyrood term?

If not, they were the Scottish National Police Force and Scottish Fire Service; those ideas were given by George Laird while an SNP. There are now 93,000 members in the party but no one with George Laird vision.

Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond.

Patently, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon thought otherwise since she has removed some of them because of their complete lack of talent, and for the record, she should have sacked Alex Neil for lying but bottled that one. I would have canned his ass without a second thought.

Normally, it takes unpopular Nicola Sturgeon some considerable time to come round to the George Laird view. In some cases, it takes her years; embarrassingly I can come up with the right answer in minutes.

To leave the theme of this post re Gordon Brown, to one side for a minute, the SNP people as Westminster Candidates 2015 for Glasgow are really bottom of the barrel stuff. Anas Sarwar, the Labour MP was effectively ‘gifted’ Alison Thewliss. Although I have nothing personal against her, she will not win; no matter how many cakes she bakes which incidentally weren’t to my taste. To her credit she keeps trying….. on the cake front.

As to Patrick Grady, the SNP Nat Sec, he will get completely politically ass raped in the seat he is standing in.

The odious human animal that passes for Natalie McGarry who got destroyed in her recent disastrous by-election  defeat in Cowdenbeath which imploded the SNP vote by about 50% is to stand in Glasgow East. McGarry couldn’t take out Labour MP Margaret Curran in Glasgow East even if she had a Carl Gustav. A Carl Gustav is an anti tank weapon.

Natalie McGarry, in my opinion after looking at her previous actions is too stupid, too petty and too nasty, a little shit of a human being. 

No surprise that Nicola Sturgeon said she was a ‘good pal’ of hers.

Poor Nicola, until you get to know her, then your possible sympathy goes right out the window. Ms Sturgeon likes to surround herself with ugly horrible people with horrible ugly personalities to make her self look good.

It isn’t really working for her, is it Nicola; that attempt at #sexysocialism?      

In Glasgow South West, the serial election loser Chris Stephens will try to unseat Labour MP Ian Davidson, however, it is doubtful as Glasgow South West is regarded as a hard seat to win. Chris Stephens works hard (self interest) but more than that you need several other qualities which he basically lacks to be a successful candidate. Chris Stephens is a follower, not a leader. To win, he would have to hope the anti English campaign run in Glasgow by the Yes side still has some traction in Glasgow South West. Failing that he like Patrick Grady will be making another less than historic loser’s speech; it won’t be worth listening to on the night.

To step away, yet again, a piece of humour came my way today, Tasmina Ahmed-Shiekh, the ex Labour member, and ex Tory candidate isn’t standing in Glasgow but is standing in Ochil for the SNP. A place where she has no real chance of winning; I wonder if things don’t go as planned will she complain of not getting enough help as she allegedly did when a Tory candidate in Govan?

Tasmina, the world is in a terrible state, no point in electing you to make it worse dear!

Ask Nicola to make you a spad if you need a coin!

It is obvious that the Alex Salmond Party (SNP) see Gordon Brown as a threat, as they try to a really clumsy attempt at shit stirring, Gordon Brown in no way undermines Jim Murphy as Labour leader, he isn’t after his job. It is highly likely that Gordon Brown has his sights set on the international stage for future employment prospects.

Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond will be campaigning however at present unpopular Nicola Sturgeon is trying to sell the concept she is in charge of the Alex Salmond Party (SNP). ‘I will lead the Westminster negotiations’, she recently declared as she like her deluded cohort Salmond thinks Westminster will dance to the tuneless rhetoric of SNP drivel she will demand as payment for support.

No more Trident she screams.

If you think back to May 2012, I was at the BBC Big Debate hosted by Isobel Fraser, at that show, I said the SNP needed to adopt NATO and go pro nuclear Faslane. Despite being given the answer to their defence problem, unpopular Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond still couldn’t get the right answer.

Effectively that was like being unable to copy the correct answer off the exam paper.

I think Sturgeon will find that the election won’t be going as she expected, so it is highly unlikely that she will be getting a phone call begging for her help. Poor Nicola staying up all thought the night hoping that someone gets in touch with her to make her relevant.

No deals to be had there!

Gordon Brown to his credit remained popular in Scotland at the 2010 election despite being shunned by English voters, but this election comes off the back of the independence referendum so things could be in a state of flux. That said Salmond shouted the odds in 2010 about getting 20 MPs, on the back of ‘elect a people’s champion’ campaign; however we must remember, the people selected weren’t people’s champions in any way, shape or form, hence the public rejected them. This time round the next tactic of trying to get the women’s vote doesn’t seem particularly inspired because is it a Sturgeon cronies election. People want the best person to represent them; the SNP record at Westminster is an utter disgrace. 

In trying to seem meaningful again, after losing big time, SNP General Election campaign coordinator Angus Robertson MP said:

"This is a disastrous story for Jim Murphy - he was supposed to be the person who would turn Labour's fortunes around, but is obviously being discounted by his own colleagues after fewer than 50 days in the job”.

Not exactly a thinker is Angus Robertson but worth mentioning, not exactly Scottish either….. ‘maybe its because I am a Londoner, that I love London Town’.

Robertson added:

"Just last week, the SNP had a tremendous council by-election victory in Gordon Brown's constituency, which will no doubt have chilled Scottish Labour to the core”.

A meaningless council by-election, generally most people couldn’t care less even when the full council elections are in full swing.

In a part shot of meaningless pish and SNP rhetoric, Robertson went on:

"Labour are paying a heavy price for their toxic alliance with the Tories - and in recent weeks they have made clear the alliance lives on as they voted with Tories to support £30bn more austerity cuts and waste £100bn on Trident renewal."

In 2010, the SNP dusted off their ‘No to Trident’, only to have handed to them their collected asses all over Scotland. Fighting against Trident renewal is a stupid backward policy of people who aren’t fit to be in charge of a country like Scotland or know what it takes to defend it.

It is student union politics that people should have grown out of, however given the CND mob have embedded themselves in the SNP with their particular gripe, and Sein Fein lite division who hate the British Establishment, Trident opposition remains.

I wonder when so many of Nicola’s cronies get politically ass raped at the polls; will the message finally sink in?

The message being that she isn’t leading a ‘Band of Brothers’ just a ‘Band of knuckle draggers’.
