Scotland’s unpopular First Minster Nicola Sturgeon calls for North Sea oil tax change, first she wanted to bankrupt Scotland, then she wanted £180 Billion to help bankrupt Britain, now she wants to hog tie the oil industry, Nicola Sturgeon ……. economic genius, if we wait long enough, a Business for Scotland ‘expert’ who runs a corner shop will agree with her!

Dear All

It seems that Scotland’s unpopular First Minster Nicola Sturgeon has decided to enter the ‘oil market’!

Through-out their desperate sad and pathetic days of independence referendum, Scotland’s ‘jolly fat man’ Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon were telling everyone how ‘rich’ Scotland was because we had oil.

When challenged on finance calculations, it was said by the SNP that oil would be $110 a barrel to pay for services in Scotland, the price of oil has crashed to a low about $50 a barrel. Another part of the delusion to con Scots was that Scotland would experience a second oil boom.

Quite the opposite has happened!

Jobs are being shed in the North Sea because companies are gearing down because of the downturn.

To try and keep the lie going, and some Nationalists spread the rumour of a secret oilfield which was floating about the place, it wasn’t there rather like their brain cells.

Another lie to con Scottish people!

Now, to prop the fraud yet again, Nicola Sturgeon wants the UK Government to push forward urgent tax changes that could she says could spark a “resurgence” in the North Sea oil industry.

Presumably Sturgeon has no idea of what is going on, companies aren’t going to suddenly do a U turn on their present strategy because it is the wrong time, you don’t invest in a collapsing market while the market is still going down.

As to the ‘urgent calls’, no call from Sturgeon is urgent because Sturgeon totally lacks substance.

Sturgeon wants oil companies to get an “urgent fiscal stimulus” so they can increase exploration work.

Presumably looking for other secret oilfields!

George Osborne’s Budget next month may contain measures to help the North Sea so yet again, this is the SNP trying to take credit for work done by other people, it is rather predicable now; Nicola Sturgeon tried that when the UK Government saved Govan Shipbuilders; only to be told to get lost by the trade union.

Early in the year you may remember she set up a taskforce, to save North Sea Oil Jobs, 300 were getting shed, her ‘taskforce’ wrote a letter to the UK Government, the idea was simple, you do the work; we’ll take the credit.

Sturgeon has taken her Scottish Cabinet team to Aberdeen, to rather tackily hang about and look meaningful, the SNP cite that the UK should do what Norway done a decade ago and reversed a decline in oil and gas exploration work in the country.

But we should remember the Norwegians unlike Scotland are a rich country and they also have extremely high taxation and a huge oil fund.

Laughingly Sturgeon said:

“Quite frankly, the UK Government has failed to address the exploration problem in the North Sea.”

The UK Government leaves that to the oil companies, and if Scotland had been independent that won’t change, the SNP know nothing about oil exploration just like they know nothing about managing government properly.

This rubbish is all about been seen to be going something when in fact Sturgeon is actually doing nothing.

Sturgeon said industry expert Sir Ian Wood had recently warned that as many as six billion barrels of oil reserves could be lost “unless radical measures are taken by the UK Government”.

What are these radical measures Sturgeon?

How do you make an oil company do exploration work in a downturn if they don’t want to, why should they put their cash flow in peril to satisfy the ravings of a political incompetent using them to get votes for a Westminster election.

During the referendum, the SNP were ignored by the oil companies, given the Scottish government is a crony ridden pit and poorly run, anyone stupid enough to follow the Sturgeon business model?

I mean it is a billion dollar industry, best stick to decide what ‘oil’ you fry your chips in Nicola!

Yours sincerely

  1. Investing in an industry whilst it's going into a downturn as a mate of mine who does a little private investing in the stock market has commented @ times is a little like trying to catch a falling knife. As always a good read and i hope your health is better.

  2. Anyone who gets taken in by the rubbish spouted by Sturgeon and her dictatorship deserve all they get. I get physically sick reading what this overpaid, useless failure says. She should have been sacked long ago for the disasterous way she ran NHS Scotland. The SNP dictatorship even talk now of arresting people in Scotland if you give alchohol to anyone under 18, in a public place. They've gave the vote to 16 and 17 year olds hoping to "rig" the referendum, but now watch out all you "serfs".

  3. Dear Crookie

Nicola is an economic genius in SNP circles, despite not being a doctor, look how she ran the health service.

    Badly.

Now, given her track record of failure she probably thinks she has turned a corner with success at everything she touches now.

Sadly, that won't be the case.

Busted flush waiting on a pension.

“You are mentally unstable Laird, your obssessive hatred is driving you ill..you must sit in your wee hoose mumbling away with your bitterness and hatred towards SNP.”

427 people read that post and you are the first to complain.

That said, many serious people in the SNP read my blog and agree with it, so I am told. You see not everyone in life is an arselicker, some are capable of independent thought, not you tho!

“I thank you though, AHoles with a sick mentality rambling on with such venom at a time I was disillusioned with my party Labour after 40 years......I didn't want to be on the same side as nutters like you”.

I am not a member of any political party, assumption based on speculation is the sign of a feeble mind.

“I walked away and joined SNP who I most definitely feel my socialist home is......Labour have become the rightwing party and SNP are to the left of it....who'd have thunk it!”

The SNP are a centre right party, imagine not being able to work that out.

“Loony Labour are welcome to ranting nutters like you. Glasgow uni must be blind to have you destroy the fine name of theirs”.

Who said they had a fine name in the first place?

    “Elaine, Kirkcaldy”.

Thank you for taking the time to comment now grow up hick, you are being taken for a mug by Sturgeon and Co.

    Hope this helps.

  8. Well said George.
I have just read Elaine''s post,, yawn,,, she doesn't like the truth that's for sure. The SNP are becoming a sinister dictatorship, "drawing a dark veil of secrecy over the democratic process",, who said that??? Councillor John Taggart, who QUIT the SNP this week along with Alan Beveridge.

  9. Elaine like the rest of your clan you are clearly rattled.

    What FACTUALLY is inaccurate,nothing.

Yet you make up a sad wee fable in your own mind about some mental illness George has, typical of the cyber twats.

He has been right about the Mccanns, bout the SNP and is mature enough to admit when he may have been wrong.

On the other hand you are a twat.

  10. Dear Crookie

    Thanks for the support.

Here is an article I wrote back in 2010.

    http://glasgowunihumanrights.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/gerald-and-kate-mccanns-right-to.html

When the case went to court, the judge agreed with me.

I upset people by getting a lot of things 100% right, however I do get the odd thing wrong but when pointed out happy to correct it.
