Dear All
In the Scottish National Party, there is a
genuine lack of talent, there are several incidents to point to, but the
Offensive Behaviour at Football Bill is a prime example of stupidity.
This Bill is tripe, the law was made by a knee
jerk reaction to a Rangers and Celtic game which was rowdy.
To home in and be more specific, the
pushing incident involving Neil Lennon and Ally McCoist!
Wanting to be seen as standing up to sectarianism,
the SNP jumped the gun and wanted a Bill in place before the start of the next
football season.
Clowns!
We are getting run by clowns.
The laws of Scotland clearly and already
covered misbehavior at football games by anyone, they get lifted, charged and
appear in court, and that is what should have happened to Neil Lennon and Ally
McCoist, Ibrox and Celtic Park aren’t exempt from the law of Scotland.
So, bad law was produced, now of Scotland's
leading legal figures has condemned a police response to a protest by a group
of Celtic fans, some of whom were children, by saying a heavy handed incident at
the weekend smacked of a "police state".
And that is a pretty fair assessment, the
Scottish National Party is turning Scotland into a police state, you could
argue, they are either stupid and don’t know what they are doing, a powerful
argument, or they are doing this by design.
Brian McConnachie, QC, said the incident on
Glasgow's Gallowgate on Saturday afternoon which saw 13 people dragged off by
officers could have been resolved.
And let’s be clear from the outset, this is
a public relations disaster for the force.
The reason is that "kettling"
tactics were used by the force and worse still children were among the people
detained in that cordon.
Also, McConnachie is casting doubt on the
police official version of events, given the numbers and response; it looks
like this was preplanned by police.
200 officers just happened to be available
around the Gallowgate, many on horses and with batons drawn!
A source said senior police figures have
expressed disquiet about how the incident was handled, and so they should, it
was a public relations disaster for the force. And the videos of what happened
are all over the internet.
But as well as the police feeling the heat,
the anti working class and anti Glaswegian Scottish National Party are also ‘in
the dock’, their Offensive Behaviour at Football legislation is to blame for
this.
A knee jerk reaction by Alex Salmond further
down the line sees this type of treatment emerge, as I said, there is a genuine
lack of talent in the SNP.
Brian McConnachie said of the incident:
"From what I've seen, this is total
overkill. I don't care which team you support. How can this be considered a
proportionate response to what seemed to be a peaceful protest. We'll know
pretty soon exactly what went on, given the amount of video footage. It's a
fine line between an unlicensed procession and a police state. If the police
believed there was going to be an issue they had days to resolve it. They'd an
opportunity to discuss it. It's pretty clear 200 officers with cameras and
batons just seemed to be on hand for an unexpected incident."
He
added:
"I've some degree of sympathy with the
police. The SNP Government, the Crown Office and our 'Green Brigade supporting'
Lord Advocate Mr Mulholland have created a policy, made it such a big issue
police have no option but to react in a particular way. We're also seeing this
treated at summary level by sheriffs who are not inclined to disbelieve
police."
Paul
Mullen, from solicitors Livingstone Brown, said:
"Some clients have asked about the
formal procedure for making police complaints and a couple will be seeking recompense
for injuries received by themselves and in one case their children as a direct
result of the action of police officers. In all the circumstances, I very much
doubt Strathclyde Police will have heard the last about the events of
Saturday."
On
Twitter, Lothians Labour MSP Neil Findlay said:
"As predicted in parliament Offensive
Behaviour at Football Bill being used to criminalise working class young men –
Old Firm fans singled out."
Didn’t George Laird say that the Scottish
National Party was anti working class?
George Laird right again!
The Offensive Behaviour at Football Bill
needs to be struck down, it was badly written law, I said it was badly written
law and I have been proved correct that it is badly written law; Scotland must
unite to get rid of this law.
It
is time that working class Scots understood once and for all, the Scottish
National Party has conned you, misled you, tricked you into getting your vote,
at the European election in 2014; send a clear message to Alex Salmond and
Nicola Sturgeon by not voting SNP and keeping voting against them to they get the message.
Scotland 2013, Police State, Alex Salmond in charge, is there how things started in 1930's Germany, silence dissent by people, detain people against their will, arrest them, silence the press, the one party state model?
Anyone remember this:
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
Yours
sincerely
George Laird

Watched and videod the whole thing. Terrified 12 year children kettled. Some Dads were furiously demanding the police release their young children. Senior cops knew they were wrong and caved in to distraught Mums and Dads.
ReplyDeleteA truly evil law.
Utterly over the top Gavin.
