You can’t have failed to notice that in Cyprus
something rather unexpected has happened, the Government plans to rob the
people of their cash, rob everyone who has cash in the bank regardless.
However in this swift moving story, it
appears that those with saving less than £17k will be exempt.
Regardless whether you have a £1 or £1
billion in the bank, this money should be safe, it appears that it is no longer
the case.
Events unfolding in Cyprus may wrong foot
economic arguments in the campaign for independence as Cyprus is a small
country and the SNP keeps harping on about how small can sometimes be best.
Can to be clear, small countries can be a
great success.
They can also be an economic disaster, if
the wrong people get to be in charge, did you catch Newsnight Scotland last
night?
For the independence campaign, the SNP and
Yes Scotland, it was a disastrous night, the SNP Minister stank of fear and
looked like a hunted animal, the panic in her eyes was clear, the Yes Scotland
representative Ellie Koepplinger sounded rather dim, unprepared and a woeful
public speaker.
She was an embarrassment, and that is being
kind.
The wrong people can sink a country.
The Cyprus crisis is a problem for Alex
Salmond, his independence project is falling apart, behind Salmond as we are
seeing there is a huge lack of talent in the SNP ranks even at ministerial
level.
Time for a quote by Alex Salmond:
“My problem is that I have too many
talented people and not enough Cabinet positions”.
Last night we saw the ‘talent’ of Angela
Constance on display…… crap!
With the SNP firmly run as a one man band,
what would Salmond do if there was a Scottish banking crash?
Where would he get the money?
One thing that all Scots know, is that they
can’t trust Alex Salmond at any level, he will say anything for a Yes vote and
damn the consequences.
In a Scottish financial crisis, what is to
stop an SNP Government of talentless people doing likewise?
Scotland relies too heavily on the banking
sector, and as we are seeing there wouldn’t be the reserves or the infrastructure
to weather financial storms.
Ordinary Scottish people would be an easy
target.
Europe isn’t backing Alex Salmond’s dream,
and members states aren’t endorsing, at this time, it seems that they all back
a united Europe, not one that is fracturing internally.
It would encourage the Basques and the
Catalans to break away from Spain, are we heading towards ‘City States’, how
far can societies breakdown?
The Cypriot banking crisis could happen
here in our own banking sector as the SNP wrongly decided to that regulation
was best carried out by authorities in London. Checks and balances wouldn’t be
in place and Scotland could be plunged into the abyss.
The Campaign for Scottish independence at
this time is not in the interests of the Scottish people, there aren’t people
with serious gravitas in the SNP ranks since the party is run as a middle class
clique for the benefit of a few.
Given that is the way the SNP operate at
the expense of the many, they would have no problem taking a similar measure to
loot Scots of their own money in a Scottish bank.
It comes down to a matter of trust, and
Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon can’t be trusted to stand up for ordinary
people.
