Dear All
Scotland’s unpopular Deputy First Minister
Nicola Sturgeon has come with a roadmap to independence.
Apparently we are all Palestinians now!
And in true cart before the horse or camel,
Ms. Sturgeon has said in the event of a Yes vote in next year’s referendum there
will be Scottish Independence Day.
That date would be in March 2016.
Maybe someone should tell, poll after poll
after poll shows that ordinary working class Scots are not going to turn over
this country to Alex Salmond and her.
Independence support has collapsed.
It seems that the Scottish public looking
at Ms. Sturgeon; are firmly of the opinion that no means no in her case, her
tenure as independence minister has flopped.
To cement a no vote, the transition paper
says there are plans for a written constitution, which could outlaw
"weapons of mass destruction" in Scotland.
Presumably after republicans got
politically ass raped at the last SNP Conference, this is their titbit to keep
them on side and working for her, as they plan to get the NATO vote overturned
in future.
Ms Sturgeon said:
"Our proposals, set out today, would
see this platform put in place immediately prior to the Scottish Parliament
elections, to provide the newly-elected Scottish Government with the full range
of powers it needs to develop the country”.
Given Ms Sturgeon’s performance as indy
minister which has been dogged by ineptitude and lack of vision, one wonders if
people will say ‘mind the gap’, because already she has outlined a lack of
credibility.
And the continual reference to a ‘road map’
is ironic; Ms. Sturgeon is on a roundabout going nowhere as polls show, the
Palestinians have a road map, they aren’t going anywhere either.
Despite Ms Sturgeon’s claim of the people
being sovereign that is just to garner votes, the SNP Government record shows
otherwise, they think that working class Scots aren’t entitled to rights.
So, who is kidding who?
And to highlight the desperate state of
trying to appear meaningful, Ms Sturgeon called on the UK Government to adhere
to the Electoral Commission’s recommendations.
The UK Government isn’t having a referendum;
they don’t have to adhere to shit!
Ms Sturgeon added:
“An independent Scotland is not an end in
itself, rather it offers us an opportunity to build the kind of country we all
want to see – an outward looking, prosperous and successful nation that
reflects the values of fairness, enterprise and opportunity.”
Well what kind of country do we have at
present under the SNP Government?
Corrupt!
The SNP Government is a one man band
although Salmond’s cronies have been put in positions of power to cement his
own position.
Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon say they
believe in fairness, enterprise and opportunity.”
I know that isn’t true from my personal
experience, Salmond thinks the SNP will enjoy endless summers of power much
like Tony Blair thought he would have, that will not be the case.
People are now looking at the record of SNP
Government departments and finding incompetence and spin is very much at the
heart of Salmond’s tenure.
The walls of Jericho are starting to crumb
and as we see the foundations aren’t rock
solid but built on sand, and the sand is moving, the indy house has collapsed
due to poor building regulation.
Scottish Sec Michael Moore, a Liberal
Democrat MP, accused the Scottish Government of creating a distraction from
substantive issues.
He
said:
"Once again, they are devoting their
energy to the picture-frame when they don't have a painting to put in it. "We
haven't even got a date for the referendum, let alone any detail on what
independence would mean for people in areas like the economy, welfare, energy
and financial services. People in Scotland appreciate the benefits of remaining
part of the United Kingdom family and that is why they remain strongly opposed
to independence. "We have already been setting out our views in public on
the issue of the post-referendum process. We will spell out further thoughts on
this process in our forthcoming analysis papers, including our first paper, in
February. Once this has been published, we will be happy to discuss our paper
with the Scottish Government."
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie
Rennie said:
"The SNP have hopelessly
underestimated the scale and complexity of this. They would have to negotiate
over 14,000 international treaties, a currency, the division of assets,
membership of Nato and the host of international organisations. To say they will
bang all this through in just 16 months is absurd. This will give most people
in Scotland the shivers and fuel suspicion that the SNP are just making it up
as they go along."
So, we have a ‘roadmap’, drawn up by the
Scottish Government, we are all Palestinians now, all we need is someone to
drop some bombs, move the sun and we can all sit in the rubble asking the
question.
Whose stupid idea was it to make Nicola
Sturgeon the independence minister?
Roadmap, keep a look out for camels!
Yours sincerely
