Labour MP Tom Watson uses his position on committee looking at Phone Hacking to say that Tommy Sheridan perjury conviction is 'unsafe', sheer delusion

Dear All

Tom Watson, the Labour MP is on a roll at the moment with phone hacking against the Murdochs, there is no love lost between them.

Much like Former MSP Tommy Sheridan, Watson has it in for News International in spades.

Tom Watson has used his position to say that Tommy Sheridan was wrongly convicted of committing perjury during his defamation action against the News of the World.

As much as I like to see Tommy Sheridan on the political scene for the colour he brings it to, he has been found guilty.

And he confessed to others, a room full of people.

And he is in a videotape, which he denies.

Take away the News International evidence from the trial, the evidence of George McNeilage, his videotape and Sheridan’s confession to a room full of people are more than enough to take him over the threshold of conviction.

Layman’s terms, he is pure f*cked!

Tom Watson says the jury had not been "in full possession of the facts" and the judgment was "unsound".

News International hacking does make Tommy Sheridan innocent or prove his innocence in anyway.

These are the facts!

Tommy Sheridan buried himself when he went to Court and sued NI, he was awarded £200,000 in damages after winning his defamation case against the newspaper in 2006.

It was a pyrrhic victory which would see him lose his career, the money and his liberty.

It was ego; he thought he was untouchable, in the end the delusion came down to earth with a hard bump.

He was later jailed for three years for committing perjury during that case.

NI guilt on hacking doesn’t make him innocent, his only hope lies in a technical decision, not evidential based evidence.

However, Tommy Sheridan keeps saying he is innocent, and that is his problem, his party has crashed, he has done ‘panto’ and is on the fringe of politics.

He can’t confess to guilt since he has publicly nailed his colours to the mast, he therefore is in limbo, he can’t go forward and, there is no ways back from that either!

Tommy Sheridan is completely stuck!

Sheridan says that Rupert Murdoch is "unfit to run a fish and chip shop".

I doubt Murdoch cares what his opinion is.

Let us say for talking sake, Sheridan, by a miracle, because it would take that, gets a verdict of unfair trial and unsafe conviction, in the public interest, the Crown would have to almost certainly ask for a retrial.

If they didn’t Sheridan would be claiming compensation and his £200k from News Group.

Sheridan’s case is a circus.

Looking at it, there is no way that he can get round his confession to a room full of people.

His appeal will fail if it goes ahead, I like Tommy Sheridan on the Scottish political scene but he is his own worst enemy.

Yours sincerely
