If you’re Scottish then the name Andrew Carnegie might ring a bell.

He was a major philanthropist who tried to better the lot of the masses by donating part of his wealth.
Now meet Labour MP Eric Joyce.
Just as Andrew Carnegie was donating to the poor and disadvantaged, Eric Joyce is doing the opposite.
He is using taxpayers’ money like it was water making life harder.
It’s so funny, that you could be tempted to say:
‘Oh look there’s Eric Joyce spending taxpayers money’ and not bat an eyelid.
The Scottish Labour MP has yet again topped a list of the highest parliamentary expenses claimers.
Five years ago, he pledged to cut his claims.
It was a brief summer!
Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is in disgrace, he resigned from his Labour Northern Ireland brief last year over a drink driving conviction.
Drink driving is a disgrace.
He is now the only member of the Westminster Parliament to claim more than £200,000 in 2009/10.
The founding member of the 200k club!
And it is not the first time that Eric Joyce has been living it large on the backs of the public, he was also the highest claimant in 2008.
Last night, Mr Joyce, whose children live in London, said:
“I do not know why my travel expenses are so high. All I can say is that I guess I travel up and down more often than other MPs.”
He further opined that his twin children frequently travelled with him between London and Scotland.
Which constituency do they represent?
Parliamentary expenses should be solely for the person elected, not their family, although this is allowed in the rules, it is wrong.
No surprises that the highest claimer is a Labour MP, they really know how to work a trough to the max.

I always remember Eric Joyce on Newsnight Scotland when asked why he bought three oil paintings for his office.
He replied that they were ‘nice’!
£180 for three ‘nice’ oil paintings for the punters to look at before they get an audience with Joyce at his constituency office!
The ‘age of austerity’ and ‘we’re all in this together’?
I don’t think so and I am pretty sure neither does Labour MP Eric Joyce.
It would be cheaper to have ex Labour MP Jim Devine back!
