Dear All
I have been tapping on keyboards for a while but they say you are not truly famous until someone writes about you.
I am the subject of a post by Labour Councillor Terry Kelly.
He calls himself a ‘socialist’ but is more like the Hugo Chav of Paisley.
As the ‘Labour Champion’ he has seen fit to have a pop at me.

So, fame at last.
His stock in trade is to call people who argue with him liars and on occasion racists, a term he uses to describe people who support the Scottish National Party. He also likes to call people fools and thugs.
Women, he calls ‘thick’.
Councillor ‘Hugo Chav’ proves beyond a shadow of doubt that any numb nut can stand and get elected to be a politician.
Take the time to visit his website, read the posts and also the comments.
You will see; he is a complete warmer!
Checking the web also produces results of his ‘wisdom’.
I will not being doing autographs now that I am famous.
Just so you know.
Yours sincerely

ReplyDeleteBut I like you and long may you blog

Dear Sir....
ReplyDeleteNow that you are famous I shall no longer be able to refer to you as George...
I bow before you.
Great stuff mate... I mean Sir Mate...
Keep them coming.
Tris
I've posted on his site... but he may not approve the post so I leave it here for your information:
ReplyDeleteDear Mr Kelly,
I’ve a few points to raise on the subject of this post, if I may.
Firstly, the human in “Human Rights” doesn't have an "i" in it.
Next I was wondering how you can have an "outburst" of "barely suppressed laughter"... I don't think you can. Do you?
Clearly the woman to whom you spoke knew Mr Laird... and knew much about him, and yet you later say that he is unknown to the university. Clearly he can't be both known and unknown to the university. Maybe you’d like to clarify that point.
It might be an idea to get some facts straight before you write this nonsense.
As an afterthought, what is your post about?
Yours sincerely
Dr Tristan Price-Williams

ReplyDeleteGeorge,
ReplyDeleteWell done, this guy is truly as thick as mince and Labour. He is the old Scotland we are the new.
Sorry for deleted post typos due to jet lag!
Loving the dialogue between all your blogs thanks. A good laugh during these difficult times !
ReplyDeleteDear ta
ReplyDeleteThese are indeed hard pressed times, so I am glad you found some amusement.
I posted a ditto regarding his Al-Megrahi story on 1st May, 24 days later, an unwarranted attack.
Having doing a bit of looking into Labour Councillor Terry Kelly, he is a moon howler!
I did a few posts on his ‘heroine’, Glasgow University bunny boiler Wendy Alexander so that probably didn’t go down well.
Yours sincerely

ReplyDeleteYes I don't agree with Mr Kelly's politics but like yourself I respect his right to say what he wants. If Labour had got back into power who knows how much more the state would have done to try and silence dissent.
Wendy Alexander ? Did you have to mention her ?! It will take hours now to get her picture out of my head ( and her brother ). Big gulping goldfish mouth and bulging eyes while talking nonsense. Erk !
George... Kelly has stuck more posts about you. Are you planning to make a movie because I could be an extra in it, cheap rates. Oh and Kelly got suspended as a councillor for being a dobber. He is called the 'dobber of ward 4' in Paisley because he hangs about looking limp.
ReplyDeleteGeorge,
ReplyDeleteCllr. Terry had a bit of a go back at me, which you may or may not have read, so I left him this. Credit to him for publishing my last post; I don't know about this one.
Dear Cllr Kelly,
The use of points after the abbreviations Mr and Dr, etc, went out of style around 40 years ago.
I think it a little disingenuous to pick fault with my use of my title "Dr" (one earned for much hard academic work, and hardly, therefore, “pompous” as you suggest) when you happily use your title Cllr, without, I note, a point to indicate that it is an abbreviation.
I have, of course, no issue with your title, which I understand people who do your job are entitled to use; I have to wonder why you object to me using mine. People thus qualified nearly always do use the title. I shall, however, bow to your sensibilities and resist its further use in correspondence with you.
It would have been pompous, I agree, had I added the lesser distinctions earned along the way to my PhD.
Yours sincerely
Tristan Price-Williams
Dear Tris
ReplyDeleteKelly is a rocket, I think he gets his jollies out of goading people and fails to understand people are laughing at him and not with him.
I see he has done two other posts about me, for someone who didn't make an impression, I am getting alot of free publicity.
What to do with my new found fame?
Even Strathclyde Police stop by for hours on end.
Yours sincerely

I think it's fairly self-evident that Terry is a fruitcake. His delusional nature prompts him often to claim his blog has huge support. Now, in examining that claim, and bearing in mind that Tel uses editorial control to decide whether a post is published or not, the relatively small number of supporting posts would suggest that in fact most readers of his blog are well aware that he is a pompous balloon. I've been Terry watching on and off for around three years. His bigotry is legendary.
ReplyDeleteHe became obsessed with making sure our rugby club was not allowed a move to a council controlled property on the basis that rugby is an elitist sport, and of course he crowed long and loud when 'your local football club', St. Mirren (who are, if you didn't know, a private company) gained control of the same ground. He lied repeatedly during the public airing of this issue. The man has no scruples whatsoever, and if I had my way, he would never be allowed to hold public office. However, the good burghers of Ferguslie Park think the sun shines out of his substantial arse. There's no accounting for tastes.
George, I have yet to establish what particular axe you are attempting to grind, but on the basis that 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' have at it ba's deep my friend.
