Dear All
SNP Councillor Billy McAllister maybe selected as the candidate to fight the seat of Glasgow North East at the forthcoming General Election.
All he has to do is pass vetting and he is eligible to throw his hat into the ring.
Is he a good choice?
Quite simply yes, not just for the SNP but for the people of Glasgow North East.
Track record in politics is important of what someone believes in and stands for and as a Councillor Billy McAllister has been willing to do that for his community.

When the Labour Party buried their heads in the sand and refused to deal with the crime families in the north of the city, Billy McAllister stood up.
However, a necessary first step has been taken for Westminster; he is sticking his name forward.
However, a necessary first step has been taken for Westminster; he is sticking his name forward.
So, once he passes vetting, he gets to stand at the foot of the mountain and look up into the clouds of Mount Electorate.
At the top is the Palace of Westminster.
It will not be easy as the Labour Party won in November.
He will have to make a strong case and put it to the people forcibly, they need a lot better than sock puppet William Bain to make real change in their lives.
An SNP MP can make a difference but 74 years of Labour having a fiefdom has left the people with the belief that nothing can be done.
It just takes the right person with the right attitude.
As well as Billy McAllister, the SNP are lucky to have one of the best campaigning teams in the City of Glasgow.
John Letford, Ari Mack and Jakki Morrison are hard working, forward thinking and competent, they just need the right candidate to go to bat for.
So, what is Billy McAllister going to have as themes?
The crime families who have blight the north of the city for years will be one.
He said;
“If elected by my party I’ll have a right shot at it. Number one on the agenda is fighting crime and bringing about law and order. The constituency has the highest concentration of organised criminals anywhere in Scotland. It’s time to get serious – let’s get tackling these people.”
On top of that jobs, health, educational opportunities and social justice will undoubtedly feature as central planks of his campaign.
Billy McAllister is an ideal choice and the SNP would be mad if they didn’t allow him to stand, he is local, hard working and vocal.
The SNP say people need to elect a local champion; he has proved he is willing to be that, he sticks his neck on issues where the Labour Party fears to tread.
Isn't that what an MP is supposed to do, fight for their community?
Well there’s a fighter standing now, not a paper tiger, not a William Bain.
Yours sincerely

Dear Jagspin
ReplyDeleteI hope that Billy McAllister gets the votes needed to stand.
Springburn needs a better MP than a wet tea towel like William Bain.
