Labour MSP Andy Kerr, 'the King in Waiting' takes the huff after everyone but Labour supports SNP budget

Dear All

The SNP Government has got its budget passed at Holyrood for the forthcoming year after last-minute concessions to win support from opposition parties.

There is no such thing as a free lunch at Holyrood.

SNP Finance Secretary John Swinney announced measures to boost housing, education and business.

The famous ten minute choo choo ride so wanted by the Labour Party and their cohorts to Glasgow Airport isn’t going to happen.

And Labour so vocal in protest kept their mouths firmly shut on how this white elephant (GARL) would be paid for.

As normal, Labour refused to back the £30bn plans.

In order that the budget passed, the SNP Government had to rely on Tory support.

Labour finance spokesman Andy Kerr;

"The finance secretary, in our view, has delivered a budget that falls far, far, far short of what needs to be done to stimulate Scotland's economy, create jobs and support hard-working families."

What does he think the £30 billion is getting spent on?

Does he believe that the SNP is holding money back to let people suffer?

John Swinney said;

"We must take tough decisions this year and the government has been prepared to do that and, secondly, we must take steps to prepare our public services and our public finances for the very challenging years to come."

Kerr should remember that the Labour Party in Westminister has already voted through cuts!

So, another year pass and the Scottish Government gets a budget passed and every year the Labour Party sits in the huff and refuses to back it asking for ridiculous demands.

The Labour Party should learn what the poor already know; you can spend money you haven’t got.

Yours sincerely

  2. Dear Tris

    Great white hope?

    No, just a great white dope!

    I like to keep calling him the king in waiting to remind Labour how much of a dud, Iain Gray is.
