Steven 'bin laden' Purcell and the Labour Council of shame insult the intelligence of Glaswegians; we know who's fault it is

Dear All

The Glasgow 'Winter of Discontent' continues courtesy of Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell and the Labour Council of shame.

On the Council of shame website there is a pathetic attempt to shift the blame directly on to the workers.

So what is the workers crime?

They want to be treated fairly.

Steven ‘bin laden’ Purcell is a tiger when it comes to dealing with lowly employees but a ‘cowardly cat’ when it comes to the issue of the organised crime families in Glasgow.

So Purcell’s Council has stated;

“Our domestic refuse collection operation is being disrupted by work to rule practices, which we are working very hard to resolve”.

Yes, after reading that the pathetic stench oozes out like an overflowing bin.

As those affected are living in filth, Purcell lets us know that there are a high number of people calling about the disruption, caused deliberately by him.

No solution though, no blue sky thinkers advertised on the Council website.
The reason Purcell wants us to know the calls are high is so that he and the Labour Council of shame can fob the public off.

This means a longer wait in a queue!

This means it takes longer to speak with one of his “agents”.

Agents?

I thought they were Council employees, is the Scottish James Bond going to be brought in?

Licence to shovel!

The people living in filth are treated to some gems of wisdom from Purcell and his crew, they state;

“If you live in the east and south east of the city, you may be most affected by this”.

Wow, statement of the obvious, did he think people don’t notice rotten filth piling up?

“If we missed your kerbside collection today, we ask that you place your bin out for collection tomorrow, when we hope to provide you with a normal service”.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow; you’re only a day away!

“If we missed your back court collection, our supervisors are carrying out inspections to identify your area and arranging for an uplift as soon as possible”.

There is nothing as definite as ‘soon as possible’ that sounds like an out of date guarantee.

It gets better for the public as the Labour Council of shame works on the assumption Glaswegians are so incredibly stupid.

“If your bin is now full, please place your additional refuse in plastic bags alongside your bin, and we will collect it”.

Where did the Council of shame think Glaswegians were going to put additional refuse?

People use the bin areas Purcell!

Then the public are treated to an odd statement;

“We are focussing all our available resources to deal with the backlog of work, and would appreciate your help in placing essential items only for collection”.

Essential items, do they mean rubbish?

What is an essential item?

Why no description?

Where do residents store non essential items, in their houses and flats?

At what point can residents expect non essential items to be dealt with?

Where’s the logic, where’s the help, where’s the information?

Do these people know what they are doing?

Finally, the public get the standard platitude;

“We apologises for the inconvenience we are causing you and thank you for your patience as we work towards resolving this issue as quickly as possible”.

Maybe Purcell and the Labour Council of shame should have had the brains not to create this mess in the first place!

Mind you it is hard to think ‘blue sky’ when you can’t run a refuse collection service properly.

Yours sincerely

  1. Here we go. More chances for him to use Glasgow school children as a pawns in his bidding for Labour V SNP.

    The voters should stop backing a loosing pony in Glasgow. All it's got them is more of the same.
