Nolan Principles: Nicola Sturgeon ally and SNP councillor Dr Imtiaz Majid allegedly lied and fabricated evidence to hide assets from his wife in divorce case according to Sheriff Morag Galbraith, why did an SNP Cllr have £150,000 in cash in the boot of his car?

Dear All

Do you know what the Nolan Principles are?

The Nolan Principles are supposed to be the standard which people in public office act while discharging their duties.

The principles are based on what could reasonably be expected by a person elected, there is no superhuman standard, just simple things like:

Selflessness
Integrity
Objectivity
Accountability
Openness
Honesty
Leadership

I used to be in the Scottish National Party during my time there, I didn’t see high minded people but quite the opposite grubby little small minded people who had wangled their way into positions of power which under normal circumstances any reasonably people would say these people aren’t suitable.

I see that SNP councillor Dr Imtiaz Majid has questions to answer about his suitability after it has emerged that he allegedly lied and fabricated evidence to hide assets from his wife in divorce case.

Who is calling him a liar?

A Sheriff of the Law Courts of Scotland!

Dr Imtiaz Majid, who is well-known to Nicola Sturgeon is said to have deliberately concealed his wealth and pretended to lose tens of thousands of pounds though a gambling addiction.

So what happened to the cash which apparently was pretty substantial?

Well, as this sorry tale unfolds it is alleged that his two younger brothers were said to be part of a scam, which involved a bank transfer of £250,000.

Sheriff Morag Galbraith called Dr Imtiaz Majid and his brothers “evasive” and said she “did not find any of them credible at all”.

And let us be clear, Dr Imtiaz Majid is well-known to Nicola Sturgeon.

Sheriff Morag Galbraith also said that some of Dr Majid’s evidence had been “entirely unacceptable and incredible”, and she considered some of his other claims “ludicrous” and “a complete fabrication”.

Now, I don’t know about you but after reading this snippet of what Sheriff Morag Galbraith has said I wonder can of Dr Majid touch his toes because it rather looks like he is about to be bent over a table and financially ass raped!

And him with a doctorate as well, yes, the poor chap looks to be in a dreadful state.

Here is a youtube video of Dr Imtiaz Majid

In it he says independence would allow him to make his own decisions, after this story it seems timeous that Sheriff Morag Galbraith is there to make decisions for him.

Better Together Dr Majid?

This youtube video is Dr Imtiaz Majid being presented by Yes Scotland as a shining example of being an upstanding member of the Asian Community.

So, it appears we have upstanding member of the Asian Community Dr Imtiaz Majid who is alleged to have kept his wife Uzma who ended up in a woman’s refuge in London, “continually short of money” and in a house which was “inadequately furnished and heated”.

One wonders if Dr Imtiaz Majid considers his actions to be in keeping with the Nolan Principles.

You may remember that Dr Imtiaz Majid was endorsed to be the SNP MP for Coatbridge, Chryston & Bellshill after being given the thumbs up by two cabinet secretaries no less.

Alex Neil said he would be “an excellent asset for the SNP in Westminster”.

Keith Brown said he was “passionate about independence and would work tirelessly for his constituency”.

Are Alex Neil and Keith Brown available for updated comments now?

Sheriff Galbraith also didn’t like other evidence by Dr Majid’s to the court that he had given his wife £150,000 in cash from the boot of his car at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station in December 2006.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I think this should be a matter of further investigation as it is not normal to give £150,000 in cash from the boot of his car at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station or anywhere else.

I hope that Dr Imtiaz Majid will clarify this situation, presumably to the relevant authorities who may take an interest in his testimony.

Sheriff Galbraith said:

“I have no hesitation in finding the pursuer’s [Dr Majid’s] evidence in this regard totally incredible and I consider it to be a complete fabrication. The manner in which the evidence was given was in my view calculating and evasive. I completely reject the pursuer’s averment that he gave £150,000 to the defender at any time.”

I hope the HMRC step in and ask for information because the money had to come from somewhere and of course their interest will be the legal aspects such as has tax been paid on this money?

Dr Majid's solicitor, a former sheriff called Hugh Neilson of Marshall Wilson Law, said his client intended to appeal against the judgment.

More legal fees, however, Sheriff Galbraith certainly has raise a high bar for Dr Imtiaz Majid to get over, and of course the £150,000 in cash will have to be explained and accounted for down to the last penny it would seem, especially where the cash originated from.

Dr Imtiaz Majid isn’t a stranger to controversy as the Coatbridge South councillor is a key figure in the so-called ‘Monklands McMafia’ row. The row was so bad it split the party in Lanarkshire and this case involving the question of Dr Imtiaz Majid’s integrity will no doubt be used against him.

Not just inside the SNP but by his political rivals outside, and of course, Majid is linked to Nicola Sturgeon, the discredited SNP leader.

If you think back to my post of Monday, February 8, 2016, you may remember in that post I kept an open mind and didn’t buy into the racism claim levelled against SNP Councillor Julie McAnulty, for the record, I don’t know her and never campaigned with her during my time in the SNP.

What I do know about the SNP under the leadership of Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon and Peter Murrell is that racism claims are thrown about by the Cult as if they come straight out of an unofficial Nationalist ‘playbook’.

I wonder what SNP Councillor Julie McAnulty thinks after reading this judgement on Dr Imtiaz Majid. Allegedly in January at an SNP meeting, it is alleged that Dr Majid accused one of Mr Boswell’s staff, Councillor Jule McAnulty, of racism.

The party ended up suspending Ms McAnulty, but Dr Majid remains an SNP councillor, perhaps in 2017, the SNP will not be selecting Dr Majid because of the bad PR, and questions which hang over Dr Majid’s integrity after the judgement of Sheriff Galbraith.

Dr Imtiaz Majid is well known to Nicola Sturgeon!

Yours sincerely
