Tommy Sheridan fires Aamer Anwar as his legal representative over his link to Murdoch Empire, expected but slow

Dear All

It’s all over; the great friendship of two publicity seeking self absorbed people is over.

Tommy Sheridan, the former Scottish Socialist leader, has sacked his solicitor Aamer Anwar.

At this point I should declare an interest, I think Aamer Anwar is a complete prick and so do many others, I knew him at Glasgow University.

I speak from first hand experience.

Anyway the two ‘people’s champions have split following a bitter dispute between the two over the lawyer’s refusal to stop writing a column for a newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Rupert Murdoch and Tommy Sheridan aren’t pals it seems.

So, out goes Anwar to be replaced by Gordon Dangerfield, a veteran of the anti-poll tax campaign who has acted for the former MSP in previous court battles.

Given Sheridan’s problems, he needs someone familiar with his ongoing disputes.

One guy many problems.

And you can’t blame Sheridan for kicking Anwar into touch when he started working for the Sun at the same time as representing him in his ongoing legal dispute with Mr Murdoch’s News International newspaper group.

Conflict of interest straight away, you can’t serve two masters.

The issue of trust is raised without being asking.

In my opinion Aamer Anwar’s greatest cause is Aamer Anwar; I wouldn’t trust him an inch, his high profile comes from race politics.

Sheridan alleged warned Anwar during talks in Glasgow that he would no longer employ him as his solicitor if he continued to work for a News International.

When Mr Anwar refused, Sheridan sacked his political ally of almost 20 years.

The smart move and the only move!

Less we forget, Sheridan got convicted and done time in the pokey, his defence was shit.

Yours sincerely

From what I remember Sheridan defended himself, but that prick Anwar agreed to help him through the three months and in fact carried on doing so once convicted.
Its seems however you have a personal hatred of Anwar based knowing him at University over 20 years ago!I agree what does that have to do with Human Rights and was Sheridan not convicted because the Jury found him guilty.
By the way you have a lot to say, but are you even a lawyer?
